I like my mom's but confession: I never eat cranberries on Thanksgiving I like to have it with my post-Thanksgiving sandwiches, but not on it with my dinner.
I love the kind that's shaped like a can with the little rings telling you where to slice I've made it from scratch once and it wasn't bad, I prefer it without the berries. Maybe next year I'll try from scratch again and strain it. My step mom always made one with Bourbon that none of the rest of us liked, lol.
Fiddles - dang, I did miss the "I don't like cranberries" option, but voting for your H counts
I don't do homemade, but I buy the store version of homemade... If that makes sense. I got it at Trader Joes this year. And I'm with Amanda, I eat it on my sandwiches after the fact. Not so much at dinner
I only like homemade cranberries. Once I figured out how easy they are to make, there was no going back. I use my mom's recipe - cook the berries in apple juice concentrate, simmer with a cinnamon stick and orange zest, then add in diced apples. It's delicious. I'm making a huge batch and hoping for leftovers because I could eat that stuff cold for breakfast for a month.
Cranberries sauce is another thanksgiving food I don't "get". It's sweet, you put it on turkey? Weird.... But if I had to choose, homemade. Canned jelly grosses me out.
I buy the canned jelly. I put it out for dinner and everyone usually takes little bits from it but usually everyone wants it for their sandwiches the next day lol
