I feel so spoiled by the amazing ornaments that zookeepersuzy sent me! And...I feel bad because she originally made me a chicken ornament (in honor of our new backyard flock) and then I went and made the exact same ornament and posted it on my blog. So she had to start at square one. Oops. I absolutely love the cute mouse she made, though!
And here is my little guy giving the mouse a kiss. He already loves it too.

emoflamingo (I hope I read the box right) I LOVE my ornaments. I love snowman and penguin, so it was totally perfect. Thank you SOOOO much. Peyton wanted to play with them but I wouldn't let her (she would have totally slobbered all over them and claim them for her own )
Excuse the iPad quality photo...but I wanted to add the ornament from britt and at the rate I am moving these days, well, let's just say the big camera is not being played with too much!

Seriously, if I participate in these exchanges many more years- I'm going to have to set up their own little tree- mine is getting pretty (awesomely) full!
The prettiest take on a glitter ornament- a blue ombre! So sparkly!
I thought this one was paint until I read the description again- melted crayon! So cool!
It's been so gloomy that I just couldn't get a great shot of this guy- it is so cute IRL! "Melted" snowman- his fuzzy little coal-pom-pom eyes and mouth, his cute carrot nose, and his ribbon scarf float around in there (my kids really love this one!).
And these little guys! Not only are they cute, but, they smell fantastic. I've wanted to try cinnamon ornaments for awhile- I am putting them on the must-make list now.
Thank you SO SO SO MUCH, themommymonster! I really feel spoiled!

A picture of one of my 3 adorable red heart ornaments (that as DH says smell like heaven). They match our red and silver tree perfectly and are a great way to mark our first Christmas as a married couple Thank you SO much cmeon
Excuse the cellphone picture, can't seem to locate my actual camera lol
I'm so happy the red is at least close enough to the "right red" to go with everything else! I tried so many different takes. I started with cardinals- they ended up too cutesy. Then I came across these traditional ornaments from Germany:
And thought they were so sweet and simple. So, I cut out the hearts, drilled the center holes, painted them three reds- and ack! I didn't like the "other reds". So, I sanded the other two back down, and painted them to match the more traditional red.
Then I went through the great bell debacle. I have, in my vast selection of craft supplies, shiny little golden bells and jingle bells in every freaking size and color imaginable.
The little golden bells were really sweet- but, the darn things didn't ring! Not even a little chime. So, I gave up there- silent bells are just silly.
I tried various jingle bell combos- at one point I had a green, gold and silver jingle bell in them, with coordinating ribbon and simple designs painted on the hearts... and OMG, CUTESY took over! Ugh! Traditional is a challenge for me!
So, Micheal's had those little silver bells- too small to do a single one in the holes I'd already drilled, but, I tried two of them and awww- they became little wedding chapel bells- so, I sanded down the hearts again, repainted them, hooked up the bells and made myself STOP.
But, I really had a ton of fun making them- thanks for liking them and REALLY thanks for being so patient while they hitched a ride with a snail to get up to you! Geez- we ARE on the same continent. :-p
I'm so happy the red is at least close enough to the "right red" to go with everything else!
Its hard to tell from the picture, but we have a set of normal Christmas balls in the red all over our tree, on either side in the picture. They are almost the IDENTICAL red to the Christmas balls
I love them and they fit our tree perfectly! I have NEVER understood why getting mail from the US to Canada or visa versa can take SO long... lol! Its been an ongoing issue with family stateside lol

I'm just going to go ahead and post the picture I took before mailing mine so that glitterfart doesn't have to worry about finding her camera. I hope that's okay, glitterfart! Since we're starting to wrap up and are using existing pictures to make sure everyone got their ornament, I want to make sure you're counted (or rather, I am counted...and not hunted down by the craft police! )
