DS is mainly barefoot inside even when I would wear socks. I put socks on him and he yells at me and pulls them off. I am sure she is fine without socks
DS wears socks sometimes. He pulls them off sometimes. He's stuck in big ol' boots outside (that are hard for him to walk in, but he manages if he wants to). Robeez don't really impair walking at all, so if you think she's cold put those on her.

I don't really see a big difference in walking in robeez type shoes vs barefoot. We tend to stay away from just socks in the house since the hardwood floors are so slippery. DD though hates being barefoot now that it's getting colder, and immediately waddles over to her closet and picks out shoes as soon as she is dressed in the morning. It's rather cute to see how emphatic she is about her shoe choices at 14 mos old.

At home I let him go barefoot but our house isn't really cold & I am often barefoot too. At daycare I send him in socks, if he takes them off they let him keep them off.
M's not walking, but I haven't noticed socks making a big impact on his standing/cruising.

Grippy socks are fine. It's just better for them to learn to walk without a hard, less flexible sole. The sock doesn't really impede the ability of their foot to flex, which is really the reason for barefoot walking. My kids never had Robeez, etc. so I don't know how flexible those are but if they move easily like a sock then they're ok too.
