Why wear nice or fancy clothing when I know I'm gonna just get gravy and stuffing all over it in the continual, rapid-speed hand-to-mouth movement that will ensue? I am so excited to chow down.
Totally casual. Won't even put on shoes because it's at our house. Growing up we didn't go all out crazy in outfits for holidays. We simply wore what was comfortable.
We're going to my grandparents, so I'll be a little more dressy than I would if it were just at my parents. Probably nicer jeans, heels & a nice blousy top to hide the fact that I won't be able to suck in my gut after dinner.
my family wears jeans and tshirts. i always wear jeans and blouse.. but that's just me. h will probably wear a sweater and dark jeans and nice shoes.. i'll wear boots, jeans and a nice top. i'm getting a haircut tonight so hopefully it'll look nice.
We're usually in that inbetween stage of casual and dressy casual - nicer jeans, cute top. This year I'm just going to wear jeans, then maybe a camisole while cooking and then throw a cardi on over it for dinner.

Tomorrow's outfit is yoga pants and a seahawks shirt
If we were home doing Thanksgiving with my family it's jeans and tshirt's and its not uncommon for us to bring a change of clothes to lounge around in after dinner.
My family is totally not formal. I just personally like to dress up. Not that i think my outfit is fancy by any means. We (H and I) seriously don't have many occasions where I can dress up outside of work. Plus, I never see my fam and we are never together at the same time ever. So when we are actually together, there are always lots of pictures so I do want to look nice.
