I am signed up for a half on Saturday. I also had the flu 2 weeks ago and still feel like shit. I'm weak and tired feeling, my head hurts, I'm coughing a ton and have stabby pains in my back below my left shoulder blade, which is either my lungs or my muscles from coughing.
My H and family are encouraging me to just skip it and try again when I feel better.
What would you do in this situation? I am having a great deal of anguish over the possibility of skipping this when I have planned and trained for so long.
I'm sad for you and I know this would be a big dilemma for me too, but I think you know the answer. Don't risk injury or making yourself worse...there are lots of half marathons to run! Register for one for when you're back to 100%.

There is another half in the spring that I wanted to do, back in our home state. Maybe now my H will feel sorry for me and not side-eye me flying back there just to run. Bright side, right?
