Hosted Thanksgiving so that was a wash, of course. Plus, bought some birthday presents for kidlet whose birthday is Friday.
Friday - drove to Great Wolf Lodge. Stopped for birthday cupcakes since the cake selection was pretty poor - $36 for cupcakes and birthday papergoods. Had a reserved room for six (so saved $40 by DH not coming and needing a waterpass.) $700. Bought breakfast package for six - $60. Late Checkout - $50 (but had it reduced to $30 so that was MM.) Pizza for dinner for eight since Grand #1 and his mom were able to visit - $31. Paw Passes for three kids - $180 (stuffed animals, color-tshirt/pillowcases at Kids Club, pins, candy, Dippin Dots, souvenir soda, MagicQuest game and wand). Additional Magic Quest game for GS1 and upgrades to pawpass wands - $24. Gas to get there - about 1/4 tank and $20 or so. Fun and memories it brought the three kidlets and the moms who can't afford treats like Great Wolf with their kids - priceless.
Saturday - spent the day at Great Wolf. Ate the prepaid breakfast so $0 additional dollars. Ate lunch that I'd brought - $0. Bought drinks since our bottled waters were gone - $16. Locker rental since we no longer had a room to store stuff - $10. Extra ice creams for DD1 and me - $10. Stuff at the store for the kidlets for Christmas (Dragon books for the boys and Monster High stuff for the girls) - $60. Drive back home and another 1/4 tank of gas - $20. Fell through the door at 12:05 a.m.
Sunday - $20 for milk, ketchup, marshmallows and hot dog buns...and DD1 kept the change because I assume this didn't come to $20. Otherwise, a cheap date compared to the rest of them.
I'm trying not to think about it... we were just in Europe so it was worth it, but adding it all up will be shocking I am sure. We spent over $100 just on chocolate in Brussels!
Not good. One of our good friends is moving, we spent way too much money going out. I think we will be banished the house all next month. Maybe we'll actually get some house projects done! <--This will be our excuse to not go out. I have 0 willpower and can't turn down an invite to go out. Maybe I will host a game night..
