We have a $50 limit this year. Although he always goes overboard.
I just took advantage of some Cyber Monday deals at Amazon and The Body Shop. I got him a new laptop case and a cover for his tablet. Since DH's bday is 3 weeks after Christmas, I will use one of these as his bday presents. :-)
I also got him some stocking stuffers from the Body Shop.
This is what he's getting so far. He asked for most of it. Some will be a surprise.
-James Bond on BluRay (all movies to date, boxed) -this crazy $160 scale that syncs to his iPhone and tracks his weight -a few random objects that look like household items but are actually mini safes -long sleeve Ralph Lauren polo -long sleeve Ralph Lauren waffle tee (in black, he looks hot in black!) -short sleeve Lacoste polo -books he asked for -odds and ends for his stocking, can't remember it all -Tumi iPhone 5 case -Tumi wire bag for his backpack when we travel -some other clothing items, can't remember
H is slowly collecting equipment for a home gym so I'm getting him a punching bag and gloves.
Great idea. If you want to add a few more small items, my husband was thrilled to get those stretchy bands in his stocking last year, and a yoga mat for warming up and crunches the year before. Both were purchased at Marshalls or TJ Maxx in their shoe section near where they keep random workout videos. Oh, and I also got him one of those giant balls for doing crunches, too. Nothing was more than $5-10.
One year I snagged an amazing deal on a roughly 20" flat screen TV to mount on the wall and gave it to him on Valentine's Day.
As of right now he's getting a BBQ apron handmade by my sister ($35). My grandma stole my other 2 ideas for him (Max Axess craftsman wrench, mini kreg jig). He's also planning to buy himself an ipad mini ($350 range) when we get our bonuses in Feb - trying to figure out how I could swing that instead for his Christmas and birthday (end of march)

My husband wants to get into home beer brewing, so he's been researching start-up kits. I'll buy whatever one he tells me, plus some books and extras to go along with it (add-on kits, ingredients). There's also a brewery a couple of towns over that offers 1-day classes, I may get a gift certificate for that as well.
