I bought this dress from Old Navy over the weekend:
I never wear stuff like this so it is new for me. I want to get a pair of leggings to wear with it, but I also new to this trend. Where do you buy nice, comfy leggings that are MM?
My favorite are J.Crew. Not the cheapest leggings out there, but they're thick and the texture is nice and hey -- I've had them for three years so the cost per use isn't bad.
Though to be honest, I think leggings look odd under a dress and would go for tights instead.
I'd also wear tights instead of leggings with this dress.
But, to answer your question, Target and the Gap have inexpensive leggings. J Crew's and Nordstrom have nicer, but more expensive pairs. You can also try stores like Ross and TJ Maxx, but that might be hit or miss in your area.
Another vote for wearing tights with the dress. Unless you're going to wear tall boots, in which case I guess it wouldn't really matter since you wouldn't be able to tell. But I think tights are warmer than just pantyhose since they are a bit thicker.
I wear leggings with a dress (I am right now!) but I also wear tall boots with it. Have I been doing this wrong?
Not wrong. I just personally prefer tights when I'm wearing a dress. Leggings just feel too much/extra/unnecessary. My leggings though are fairly thick and it doesn't seem as "smooth" as it does when I wear tights.
