I shared this on my blog but I'm just so amazed at a freaking pair of control top underwear. I've never worn any type of shapewear before and I should have done this last year after being pregnant with Layla. My belly would have gone down faster.
I thought with it being my third and my belly being super stretched out again, it would take a long time to go down, but it's going down fast. Just wanted to share my experience for any of you expecting, that compressing the stomach helps!
So... do you have the underwear on in the picture? Or do they help your body snap back into place faster? I want to get something to help with this, b/c I miss my old body like whoa, and want it back pronto.
Smace, the brand is Bali (style 8710). My mom gave them to me. I started off wearing them all day and night. Still wear regular underwear underneath too.
Soft spot, I didn't wear any compression wear last year and it took much longer to go down.

No I'm not wearing them in the picture. They help your stomach go back into place faster. I was going to get the belly bandit or a girdle from Macy's, but my mom got these for me and they are working.
I think I need to invest in these. I'm 4 month PP and it amazes me how hard and large my tummy area still is. I don't think I look pg still, its just the firmness of my post-baby belly is surprising. I used to have a squishy spare tire. Now its a firm spare tire. Dislike.
They are considered medium control. They are pretty comfortable but now that they've done a lot, I'm going to give them a couple more weeks, see what the progress is and maybe get something tighter that's not underwear. I'm not sure how far shape wear gets a post partum belly but we'll see. By 6 weeks I'll start exercising a little.
Bamf, at 4 months pp, I definitely don't think it's too late to start wearing some sort of compression garment. It takes awhile to get your belly back in shape after birth.
Curtains, Im not sure about 12 yrs pp, but maybe it doesn't hurt. I know there are wraps that claim to take inches off your waist and corsets have been known to whittle a waist down too so again some sort of belly binder could help?
Papie, ha-ha. My mom kept telling me to do it last year and I just blew it off. Guess she knew what she was talking about.

You look fantastic! I wore a belly bandit with my 3rd and I really think it helped. The shape wear you posted looks so much more comfortable and less noticeable under clothes too.
