Good Afternoon Ladies,
I was curious to see if any of you have had a problem with headaches? I was a 1-+2 cup of coffee a day person, I slowly weaned myself off down to about 1/3 of a cup over a two-week period. I have been off caffeine since last Monday (a little over a week), but every evening around 6ish, I get a nagging neck/headache! I end up taking some Tylenol, wrapping up my neck in one of those things you toss in the microwave and try to relax. Well, it is unbearable, the Tylenol takes the edge off, but not much else, and to make matter's worse it is still here this morning.
Any ideas on how to get some relief? I don't want to be one of those crazy ladies call my ob's office over stupid crap!
I'm very close to you in terms of due date and I just started getting headaches too. The other night I had a pretty awful migraine but now it's just consistent annoying headaches.
I've tried to make sure I'm drinking plenty of fluids but if I wasn't having aversions to coffee I'd probably have a small cup of that or coke or something to help. A small amount of coffee won't hurt you in my opinion.

Lol! I'm glad you both suggested the coffee! I caved, went down to the Starbucks cart (oh the joys of working at a University) and got a small 1/2 caf latte.... hoping it goes away soon!

I'm still drinking caffeine, too. I usually have an 8 oz. coffee in the morning. Some days I'll mix it up and have a soda in the afternoon instead. I like to live on the edge, lol.
ETA: I think if you quit coffee altogether, though, the headaches will eventually stop.

If I could concentrate at work I would... my ob said the caffeine during pregnancy is not nearly as crucial as the caffeine during breastfeeding... she said that for every cup of joe, you need one less hour of sleep. I was trying to get off it now so that I won't *need* it while breastfeeding... but I have to work! The headache wasn't so bad when I was home for Thanksgiving for 4 days.
