Dad is visiting this weekend and we're hosting him, his GF, and most of my ILs to decorate our Christmas tree. W is in charge of savory snacks, but I promised to make 2 or 3 different kinds of cookies or other sweets for people to eat. Food Network has "12 days of cookies" but there are 84 total recipes so it's just sensory overload right now. Do you have a favorite Christmastime cookie recipe you like to make?
I like the crinkles too, ginger snaps seem like a good bet, so I think I need one more ... maybe something with fruit or jam? Thumbprint cookies are pretty easy and will do in a pinch but maybe there's something better out there.
I always get nervous about the ones with crushed candy cane or pepperment. Sometimes they get a little to close to tasting like toothpaste.
