I'm outside telling Wrigley to go potty. He was playing around and I told him I was going to bop him on the nose. The neighbor over the fence in the back actually has the nerve to tell me I shouldn't threaten my dog with violence.
Wtf?
I was shocked. He then says something along the lines of animal abuse not being a funny thing. Honestly at that point I was so taken back I couldn't focus. I politely told him to mind his own business and if he ever thought my dogs were in danger he was welcome to come to my house and rescue them from their life of spoil.
That's ridiculous. We always say silly things like that to Paddy all the time. We frequently threaten to take her to the pound. Dogs don't understand English so they don't realize you are threatening them.
Uh...does he know most dogs don't have a really solid grasp of the English language? I mean, threatening to bop him on the nose probably didn't irreparably shake his feelings of self worth. Ridiculous.
The funny thing is, this is the first time I've ever had any contact with the neighbor. They live in the development that backs up to our house. I'm laughing about it now. If he seriously wants to talk to me about the "abuse" my animals suffer from me threatening to "bop them on the nose," so be it.
