I bought my elfster something I know she'd like at a black friday sale. The item was regularly $30 but marked down to $19.00 with a $10 rebate. I bought her some other stuff to go with it, counting the BF item as a $10 purchase. I just realized that in order to get the rebate I have to cut the UPC code off of the box. The UPC is on the bottom and not very noticeable but I still feel like it's kinda tacky to give her a box with a hole in it? If I don't use the rebate for it I'll probably take it back and get her something else worth $10 since I already bought her a bunch of other stuff.
LOL this is MM! I would hope whoever got it would be happy you got a good deal. I'd laugh and be thrilled
I guess if it is not a regular poster and not someone you know much about, maybe I'd be more hesitant. But what is this person doing hanging out in a MM exchange if they aren't into being MM?
I think it's so stupid that Macys did this with so many BF items. I purchased lots of gifts for great prices knowing that I'd have to send in the rebate form which is a hassle but not the end of the world. I didn't realize that the rebate process requires me to actually cut the UPC code off the box! Luckily the gift recipients are all close family, aside from my elfster match.
