That there's too many windows in this new house, I can't even find my essential sewing stuff (like thread!) and I am not patient. Our bedroom alone has five windows and faces the road. It has no curtains and we're moving into it tomorrow. I am going to go buy curtains tomorrow. Gone are my plans to make them all. Tell me it's okay.

It's okay! You have to cut yourself slack somewhere. There are SO many things going on for you right now. I hope you find something nice tomorrow, and then when you get more settled and find your sewing stuff, you can attack the other windows one at a time!
It's definitely ok to buy curtains! I agree about cutting yourself some slack - there is a lot of stuff to do when you move into a new house so don't stress too much! take your time and enjoy making it your own. I think a mix of store bought and handmade decor (curtains included!) is totally acceptable
Too many windows. Yeah, that's a sucky problem to have- LOL!
I can sew, I have enough fabric to cover every window in a skyscraper, but, I have never made a single curtain and don't plan on it anytime soon. Save your time for the fun stuff!!

I find making curtains to be a real drag...Probably why only one of living room windows is curtained and the rest are bare. Ikea is good for cheap curtains. Just a little tip.
We have a discount linen store where I live that's pretty cheap. I found something I like well enough 80x84 for $7.99 a piece. They're originally JCP for $50. They're big enough that I'll be able to put the rods wide. With a price like that, I guess I'd be pretty silly to buy fabric. Oversized fabric for five windows for $40. Score.
