But when i changed to Anotherfosh after she deactivated, it had today's date as my join date, but it listed her prior posts under my account. I since deleted fake Anotherfosh, and changed my name back and he posts are no longer listed under my profile

So even though it was your original account the join date changed to today? Or did you make a new account? This is very odd.

This makes no sense to me. It may only work if the user has already deactivated. Because I was curious about this very thing when we first got here, and I did a 'test' post under another user's name - I think it was Elle, actually - and it still had my sig and avatar, and changed all my old posts to the new name. I didn't see anything of hers.
