Is it totally my imagination or is it like this for anyone else? I feel like three or four days before my period and then for a bit while I'm on my period I cannot run. I can crank out 5-6 miles pretty easily, but today I ran 2 and felt like I couldn't go. Or am I just more whiny and a baby around my period?
I cannot run far at all. Did 9 miles 2 weeks ago and enjoyed it. Had to stop after 1!! mile last week due to severe stomach ache/cramps. I recently read in Shape or Fitness magazine to aim for speed work like sprints during that time - not distance.
For me, the bad spell starts at least a week prior. It's like I have lead shoes on. I'm awesome at lifting though. Then the Saturday before, everything changes and I am awesome at running.
