I'm glad you are okay. Parking lots have been crazy this holiday season. I almost got hit at my local Kroger because I was walking across a spot a woman wanted (that of course was close to the entrance). I started walking across it and she seriously gassed it to pull in and I had to stop so I didnt walk into/bounce off her car. I seriously wanted to beat her down in the artisan cheese aisle when I saw her in the store.
On the flip side (and this is in no way a defense, just a comment) pedestrians piss me off quite often in parking lots. Hello, it's a dangerous place, everyone is distracted (drivers AND pedestrians). Use the crosswalks and pay attention, don't wander around on foot, walking erratically between the entrance/exit and your vehicle while chatting, texting, staring off into space... I'm hyper-vigilant, but sometimes, even at a crawl, I wonder if folks are paying any kind of attention. I've never even gotten close to hitting anyone, and have been more of a pedestrian victim, too. But it gets me. But I'd never conftront anyone, just grumble. :-)
