I love the smell of a fresh Christmas tree. I just hate cleaning up after them.
I'm ducking out a few minutes early to get my haircut this afternoon. I cannot wait. I'm going to ask her if she can strategically cut out all of the strands of gray that have sprouted. :-(

I love getting my haircut. I do not, however, love trying to recreate it the next day. BAH!
I've decided to take Thursday off. H is really down about his grandmother, and we need to do some Christmas shopping. I figure we can go visit her at Leahy, and then hit up Burlington when we're over there and just get everything done. And, this is so morbid, I need to look for a black/funeral dress. Even if this isn't it, between her poor health and my grandfather's poor health, well, the odds are I'm going to need one sooner rather than later. And I'd rather not be scrambling around to find something in the middle of it all. I feel like a terrible person for even saying that, but it takes me FOREVER to find something I like and feel comfortable in.

I remember you saying that, Rock. And I've been there before: when my grandmother died, I hopped on a bus from college and brought nothing with me, thinking I'd just be visiting her in the hospital. I ended up buying something at Deb. (That's how long ago this was/how old I am, heh.)
As for a non-shitty, non-morbid random, I have been sitting here eating Dove dark chocolate pieces like it's my job. And it's not even 10:30 yet. I may have a problem.
I will play--I went to Ga for Thanksgiving to see my family and got all my Xmas shopping done! December is crazy in my family as it is not only Christmas but also mine and my dad's birthday as well. I will be flying back on the 19th. It's still so warm down there. Kind of sucks. I like the cold! My roommate wanted to get a Xmas tree but has no way of getting it here and I don't really know anyone yet, soooo that's probably not going to happen. Which is fine. We both will not really be here and I have a feeling I will be the one to clean it up. And also decorate it. And water it. Wow, that's a lot of randoms.
5KC--Dove Dark Chocolate is my fav!!! In my mind, it's DARK chocolate, so it's good for you, right? :-)
Yeah, I have had the fake ones before and thought of that, but I looooooove the real ones. And as many times that I have moved, I love the fact that I never have to haul around a Xmas tree. I am not sure how a cab would feel about a smaller tree, but that is an interesting thought! I did want one, but then realized I wasn't going to be here that much to really enjoy it. I helped a friend back home get one and set it up. And my mom has hers up, so I will get to enjoy those. A major plus, I won't have to clean up any decorations when I do get back! (I have 4 huge bins of Xmas decor bc I use to decorate my house). Yeah, I could make it look like xmas threw up in a winter wonderland here if I really wanted to. Maybe next year!

We saw some small (like 2-3 foot) real trees at Whole Foods for about 20 bucks, and they come with a stand. We might do that ourselves this year. Our apartment is too cramped for a real tree.
I am soooooooo unmotivated today. It's terrible. I've been staring at the menu for the Salty Pig for like half-an-hour now, picking out what I'm going to eat when I go there with friends next week. And now I'm going to scour the internets to see what people got at Menton, because we're going there for our Christmas dinner.
5KC - Salty Pig is super tasty! They have a great rotation of beers & food specials. Have fun!
I can't wait. We tried to go a few weeks ago on a Friday, but foolishly didn't make a reservation since we were getting there early-ish. There was an hour + wait, so we ended up at Coda instead. This time, we're going on a Wednesday and making a reservation.
And Rock, we thought about No. 9 Park, but landed on Menton this time. It's still on my list, though.
