Mind throwing some out there for my HS friend? She is burying her two month old son tomorrow. I have tears in my eyes just typing that. I do not know the specifics; I do know he was in the hospital on Thursday, and passed on Friday. It absolutely breaks my heart. I cannot imagine, I would not be able to go on. They have three older daughters.

I set up a fund yesterday and passed a FB message to some of my old classmates. It's exploded to well over 100 people wanting to donate. I am planning on mailing them a check just before Christmas. Money can't bring back what they've lost, but I hope the gesture (and my plan is to include a list of everyone who donated along with a personal message from each person/family) makes them smile, if only for a minute, and let them know just how many people are supporting them through what is likely one of the darkest times in their lives.

I just cannot even begin to imagine their utter heartbreak. He was such a sweet, smiley boy. I nearly broke down at work when I saw the obituary online with his smiling little face.

That is absolutely heartbreaking. I'm so sorry for your friend's loss. I can't even take the imagination of having to that. I just can't do it. I'm so sorry.
