@supergreen , you were right that Arrow is pretty violent, but we're still watching. DD cried when a certain character died in the S1 finale.
Yeah season 1 is the worst in terms of Oliver killing a loooot of people. That aspect gets toned down in further seasons FWIW. And lots of characters die I don't even remember who died in S1. It's like TWD with characters dying fairly frequently.
As long as Felicity doesn't die... she's a favorite of ours.
My H opens a can of soda, drinks half of it, and leaves the half-full can inside the sink, upside down over the drain. Like the damn thing needs overnight to drain out LOL. This is him "cleaning up after himself."
My H does this with empty pop and beer cans. He'll "drain" it in the sink rather than just shaking it out and putting it in the recycling. And if it was a bottle of beer, he'll leave the bottle cap on the counter too. GRR.
I find bottle caps all over the place. Like the laundry. Why is his instinct to put the thing in his POCKET instead of the TRASH?!

Yes, and it drives me up the effing wall. Bugs are a problem here, so closing containers in the pantry is important. And he seems to think the refrigerator magically cleans itself out every other week.

His name is Drew, I believe. I finally caught it at the end of the last episode lol. I like him, but don't expect him to stick around. I loved the episode at Princeton, where she met him. And I thought the Peter episode was funny, too.
I'm conflicted. I expect her to get back with Danny, but I enjoy Mindy-dating-hijinks (except for Jody... stop going there!)
I don't know if I'll get flamed or cheered for this...
I just downloaded the first Harry Potter book on my Kindle. I've never had the desire to read them before and figured it wouldn't be my thing. But I said the same thing about vampires and The Hunger Games too. So, here goes nothing!
Give it until book 3, which is when the series gets good/interesting.
So anyway. We could make it on my income if we decide to move to Milwaukee after I clearly will get the job (jk jk jk). I am sure lys would say nope but I am fairly confident it would not be bad at all. Key would be eliminating trips to Costco
Since you've been posting about Milwaukee, I remember that my sister used to be fascinated by Milwaukee. Like she wanted to move there because it personified a "cold, industrial city."
She also aspired to be a garbage truck driver and hand/nail model, though, so lol.

We're a naked house. I'm at the point where I have to kick DS out a lot, which is a challenge due to his anxiety. He waits outside the door while I rush through what I have to do.

I finished Invasion of the Tearling (sequel to Queen of the Tearling) last night. I didn't like it as much as the first, but there are some parts that I'm eager to see resolved in the last book.

Unless H is out, my phone is downstairs in the kitchen from about 9pm until 6am. I'm asleep by 10 most nights. People can text me (or FB message me), but I'm probably not going to respond until the morning. If I happen to stay up later, I will check it.
My friends and I don't really text unless we're planning something (and honestly, I get annoyed by this by the time consensus is reached). One morning, I woke up to a conversation that had been happening in the 5am hour... because we were all up that early.
ETA: I also have to check GBCN first thing when I wake up to catch up with all of you lol.
ETA: It made me feel bad for the Buffalo Bills. The one player they would probably like to hero worship for all time....tainted.
My dad was a huge Bills fan, basically from the first day the organization existed, and he thought OJ was innocent. He always said it with sort of a sheepish look on his face so maybe in his heart of hearts he knew he was guilty, but he'd never say it out loud.
I went to USC, and I was there during the trial. The morning the verdict was read, I was in chemistry lab, and somewhere in the building there was a TV, so we all watched/heard it when it was read. People CHEERED! It was so crazy lol.
I'm spoiled and prefer to watch on my giant tv. I think there's a way to watch online stuff through the tv, but I'll have to enlist my H for help. If I end up watching part one on my computer, so be it. I'd just rather not. heh
Do you have a device for streaming? If so, you can watch on the ESPN app (WatchESPN, I think).

I haven't mentioned this specific attack to him. We have talked generally about shootings and specifically about Aurora because H wrote a song that refers to it.
When something tragic happens, I try not to bring it up, but will discuss things if/when they ask questions. On the other hand, I will make a point of talking about things I believe to be good news, like SSM.

DD: Mom, dad is looking for a new wife! Me: What?! DS: No, he's not. You watch too much TV. DD: He was talking about the pretty lady. DS: He was talking about the NICE lady. DD: Well, she's probably nicer than mom.
