That isn't necessarily the server's fault, but definitely bad management of the situation.
It was 100% the server's fault since he had to RETAKE the orders. If he WROTE down the orders, then he wrote down the orders and he wouldn't have had to retake the orders. That retaking is A HUGE TIME DELAY right there not counting cooking and preparing time in the kitchen. IT IS the server's fault. WHY would you say it's not? Most likely he forgot to put the order in and threw the orders in the garbage If he even wrote down the orders even. What an UNCARING INCONSIDERATE IRRESPONSIBLE waiter. Uncaring, VERY UNCARING! I couldn't fathom doing that to customers. He didn't want admit he forgot to put in the orders, because why would he have to retake the orders if they were put into the kitchen computer, huh?? MAKES SENSE, RIGHT? He hid the truth from the OP'S PARTY!
but I would also take into consideration that restaurants are very understaffed.
Understaffed has NOTHING to do with writing down orders for tables. Any, even a bad server, has at least written our orders down before and not had to come back for us to order all over again(especially not 25 minutes later). While yes it will be like you are running around like a chicken if the restaurant is understaffed, you can still write down orders abbreviating things such as FT is french toast. You don't have to write down the ENTIRE words even. Talk about a lazy waiter that was.
(we had no issue with having to reorder, honestly)
Why? That makes no sense that you had to order all over again. A server takes your order. They shouldn't have to come back to the table unless they were informed something happened such as they just ran out of something or they dropped your food in the kitchen of they can't make the food that way for some reason, but to take the entire table's order all over again makes no sense at all. WHY would any server have to do that? In almost 20yrs of eating out 2-3-4 times a week, I have NEVER encountered such a thing. The waiter was at fault 100% and I wouldn't have tipped him a damn thing. He's uncaring and inconsiderate to not offer you any refills or anything. That's not a hard worker to earn any type of pay of ANY kind. My guess is he forgot to put the order into the computer and threw the orders away he wrote down. What an UNCARING waiter. MEAN!
To make me happy, it would take a round of drinks when they re-took the order, and the meal that came out at 2:35 comped. I wouldn’t hold it against the restaurant long term if they did their best to make it right because everyone is struggling, but the 2:35 meal is pretty egregious IMO.
I wouldn't hold the restaurant responsible at all, it's the IRRESPONSIBLE IDIOT WAITER. I'd make sure I wouldn't get that waiter again. Simple as that. In the almost 20 yrs of eating out 2-3 times or more a week, I have NEVER had a server have to retake my order even after 5 minutes of waiting even I never had to much less 25 minutes later. That's ridiculous. He should have had his written order on him on his pad of paper. Obviously he didn't put in the orders or threw the written orders away or didn't write anything down.
Stuff happens. Was the waiter nice/apologetic? I would expect nothing. A lot of restaurants are short staffed now, and all the extra precautions take more time for service. I give a lot of grace to anyone in that industry right now.
What stuff happens? Irresponsibility to have to RETAKE an order? If you have a pad and pen, you should HAVE the order AT ALL TIMES on you until the customers LEAVE the restaurant. That was a VERY UNCARING, INCONSIDERATE, LAZY WAITER! I would expect not to have to pay for something simply because of the waiter's irresponsibility. You don't punish the customer's time simply because the waiter was too stupid to know how to keep an order on a pad of paper. What happened to his pad of paper he wrote it on? I would have asked. If he would have said "I threw it away", my responses would have been:
1. Why you did that when you have a way of verifying obvious errors you bring out of the kitchen to check the food with your written order to CARE about if you are "SERVING" us our food obviously correctly?
2. Go get it out the trash.
That's my responses. F' THAT SHIT! The waiter shouldn't have to retake your order. Thank GOD that NEVER has happened to us or we would have left. I am not waiting no 1.5 hrs. F' THAT SHIT!
Server returns to table at 1:50 and said something happened with order and
retook order
Why would a server RETAKE your order if they WROTE EVERY DETAIL DOWN, HUH? Sounds like an IRRESPONSIBLE, UNCARING waiter. Your server should have your order written down, not make you repeat your party's entire order. That's INSANE! Waiter's fault 100% ENTIRELY for the long wait simply just because of that. The order should have been in at 1:28p.m.-1:30p.m. completed in the computer.
What, if anything, would you expect to happen by restaurant?
Manager should have at least comped some of the meals. The manager should have also told the waiter how ridiculous it sounds to have to retake an order 25 minutes later. If someone had to retake my order, I would just up and leave(offer to pay for the items I consumed and go). I wouldn't put up with that ridiculous shit.
One day I was at a restaurant eating by myself due to that my husband was working that Saturday for lunch time. The service wasn’t that great throughout my dining experience. I ordered when greeted since I get the same food every single time I have dined there. My waitress brought my soft drink out with the side salad that is an item that actually comes with the entrée with biscuits. She also didn’t come prepared when she had greeted me. I had to ask that if she could write my order down since I had a lot of modifications, so right there I knew I was going to get lazy service simply because servers should have a pen and pad on them that I shouldn’t have had to wait for her to get a pen and paper. That was just lazy on her part right there to not make a separate trip to bring my soft drink first since a drink comes before food always(unless it is free bread and even then the bread would either be given when greeted, not with an item you are PAYING for(side salad). She just wanted to be lazy and make me wait longer for something to drink. Just because I ordered my entrée when greeted doesn’t mean I should have to wait all the time it takes for her to make my side salad(at this restaurant, the servers make the side salads the manager told me so). So at one point in my service, I knew something tasted off in my refill of dr. pepper and it looked off from the clear glass that my dr. pepper was light that she should have noticed the syrup was out, but she didn't since dr. pepper is dark.
So my main thing that happened was that at the end after I paid with my credit card. My waitress gave me my itemized receipt back and the merchant copy only, not the customer copy of the credit card receipt back. I didn’t fill anything out since I saw it pretty much right away, but not too right away that she had already left at another table. Since it wasn’t like 8p.m. at night on a Friday night, that this was between 11a.m.-12p.m. on a Saturday, I was able to get her attention within a minute or so of leaving my table. If I would have had been where my waitress was taking a large party’s order, I would have been sitting for a while. So I asked nicely to get the customer copy back. Rather than being a smart waitress to just apologize that she accidentally grabbed 2 pieces of paper as anybody that had a BRAIN would have(I thought this was an honest mistake), instead she thought I would feel sorry for servers in general so she went ahead and told me the TRUTH about how selfish she was. She told me she leaves the customer copy of the credit card receipt by the computer and if the customer asks for it, she will go back to get it due to that some customers will take the merchant copy home. I was SOOOOOOO HURT by that I said “So you did this intentionally?” That’s when she saw how it bothered me that she made up a story by lying to me after that saying “Oh I didn’t do it for you” and “It didn’t print.” I told her that this is illegal she can’t keep MY copy as a customer and then she made me wait longer to leave which soooooo mean. So I recommended her to get a highlighter might help and she claimed they had none. I told the manager about it and he assured me she couldn’t do what she did with keeping the customer copy of the credit card receipt. What hurt me even more is that when he came out to me when I asked for a manager over this, he said it wasn’t something done in “Malice”, but it was in that she INTENTIONALLY CREATED A LONGER WAIT FOR ME TO LEAVE.THAT is what got her a stiff. Even the lying to me didn’t bother me as much, because she intentionally made me wait longer to be able to leave the restaurant. I value my time just as everyone does and in a restaurant. It hurt me she found the time to do that for her precocious tip, but found ZERO time to make a separate trip to bring out my dr. pepper that she made me wait until she finished making my side salad. She also found the time to waste it going to get a pad and pen that honestly should have been ON HER in her apron pocket like other servers do. My husband and I have LOTS and LOTS of times during the years ordered when greeted and had our drinks out first. They didn’t wait to bring out the salad with our first drink. I also told the manager that she treated us as if ALL customers are STUPID IDIOTS that they will ALL take the wrong copy. Also, I told the manager, that look at how I didn’t fill out the merchant copy and how it does NO GOOD to do this for people like me that don’t fill out the merchant copy without the customer copy. I also told our waitress and him that we go to many restaurants, so it’s hard to remember what amount of tip you left if you don’t write it on the customer copy. You also don’t have any proof of any credit card receipt if you don’t have a copy for yourself.
The thing that gets me with this is how SELFISH this waitress was. HOW selfish can you be to make sure you get your money so badly that you PURPOSELY make someone wait there longer to leave and think that will be a positive thing? Why would she be so dingy and stupid to tell me the truth? Why do servers think that people will feel sorry for them simply because they only make $2.13/hr. I have given 30% and more tips to servers before. On that particular meal when I have eaten it by myself, I have left $7 for a tip for it. Usually the check is around $14-$16 worth or so give or take. I also have given $20 for Christmas to my favorite servers over the years.
Honestly, what hurts me the very most is how she PURPOSELY CREATED a LONGER WAIT for ALL her customers. She could have been at another table getting some refills instead of making another useless trip to get the customer copy of the credit card receipt. She wasted time also when she is doing this; she is so stupid to think that customers will tip her more when they ask her for the receipt that she looked like she forgot. When I have to wait longer because someone forgets something, I don’t tip nearly as well without any apology. How stupid she is that if she would have just said she accidentally didn’t grab the extra paper, I would have fully believed her, that’s how STUPID she is to tell me how selfish she was. She wasn’t lazy to make sure she got her tip, but she was too lazy in my service to bring me my drink first like things are supposed to go that you get your drink BEFORE ANY food arrives(the side salad that you PAY for that’s NOT FREE, unlike bread or chips n’ salsa at a mexican restaurant.
It is 100% PURE MALICE in that she decided to make me wait longer to leave the restaurant to make sure she gets a tip. HOW more MEAN can you get, huh? Then she lied to me. The manager told me “Oh, it did print” that he guaranteed she lied to me. I am still hurt by this and it’s been a while since. The reason why is that how SELFISH she was. She only cared about her tip and NOT about her customer’s time or feelings or thirst for that matter. She didn’t look at the drink to make sure it was not out of syrup. She didn’t bring me my drink first and waited because she didn’t want to make an extra trip to the table. She also treats her customers as EVERYONE is stupid. Only once have in the zillion of times my husband and I ate out, have kept the wrong copy and it was signed. Guess what the manager said? As long as there is a SIGNED copy, it doesn’t matter WHICH COPY is there. That’s how STUPID she is. She also did it for 100% nothing since I didn’t fill out anything yet and as I said, if she would have been at a large party or even taking a party of 4’s entrée orders with them asking questions, I would have been there for quite a while waiting and then especially if she would have put in their food order first.
Why are servers so SELFISH like this? Why can’t they treat customers like HUMAN BEINGS WITH FEELINGS? I was hurt by it to see that she did this with PURE INTENT, NOT by accident. I can see as I have even done at my own job didn’t grab a piece of paper off my desk. I don’t know WHY she told me the truth, but now I know if this ever happens, most likely it’s done with intent? She was pretty darn dingy and stupid to tell me the real truth. I mean to hold someone hostage so they can’t leave the restaurant is going to affect the tip even if it’s not done intentionally. I am not going to give 20% if it’s not busy for a server to do this even if they forget the customer copy by accident. If it’s busy, if they really did forget it, I would forgive them if I didn’t have to wait long, but if I have to wait long like 5-10 minutes, I am NOT going to tip at all. That’s how STUPID she is. She thought making someone wait longer to leave is a good thing in service done on purpose? She thinks that mistakes don’t count in service for the tip? That’s stupid how she thinks. She’s also so selfish to not buy highlighters if this is such a problem. Of course, that’s taking up 3 seconds of the customer’s time as well to do such a stupid thing to act like everyone is STUPID and can’t READ as well. You don’t want to waste your customer’s time. Even if it’s 3 seconds, you want to make sure they get their stuff so they can leave. Also, it’s a customer copy. What does that tell you? Since it’s a credit card receipt **CUSTOMER COPY**, WE as customers OWN it, so it’s theft. That piece of paper is OURS, NOT HERS for the taking.
I hate managers like this, because they can’t see that a lot of servers are PURE EVIL like this thatYES she did do it out of malice. She wanted to make sure she’d receive her tip. In order to do that, she punished the innocent customer’s time for it as well as her other customers. I spoke to her for around 2 -3 minutes or so talking to her about what she did wrong and how this is illegal that she can’t do this. She also took up time to tell me the stupid story in the first place and then act like she didn’t say it by saying it didn’t print.
What’s so stupid is that even if something doesn’t print, if you are a server, you are responsible for bringing me the 3 pieces of paper back to my table, so by missing it even by accident is the server’s fault 100%, NOT the printer. The printer doesn’t have mechanical arms to give me my check. This isn’t a kiosk like at Chili’s that prints my check. So even if it didn’t print, why would that matter? I should have told her, but didn’t think about it, “So you can’t count you mean to tell me” when she told me it didn’t print.I would have loved to see her reaction then. I was just so taken aback about how EVIL and SELFISH this waitress was to her customer’s time(all her customers, not just me). Getting something for another customer in the time she wastes doing this extra trip is wasting time for everyone. She’s so stupid to think that people should feel sorry for servers when they are purposely making you wait longer for something. That’s just COLD-HEARTED 100%!
Of course I didn’t tip her. Even if the rest of the service would have been good(which it wasn’t), I would have stiffed on her purposely making me wait to leave the restaurant(not even counting the lying she did), just for the fact that she made me wait to get my copy of my credit card receipt on PURPOSE, NOT by pure accident. First off, she took up my time to tell me that she leaves it by the computer and that if the customer asks for it, she will get it. That’s time out of my life I wanted to leave and she told me that crap about how SELFISH she really was. I can’t for the life of me believe how STUPID and DINGY she was to tell me that?
I am just frustrated about how selfish servers seem to be today. They don’t check the prices on the menu against your check. They blame the computer or old menus or corporate for a wrong overcharge price. They act like they can’t read and yet they want THEIR MONEY RIGHT when tip time comes, but they don’t care if they get YOUR MONEY RIGHT. It’s so SELFISH and MEAN!
Servers at times take up your time to write stuff on the CREDIT CARD receipt and even circle the GRATUITY scale on the check as some servers have, which is INCONSIDERATE AND SELFISH BEHAVIOR to no think of your feelings and time that you want LEAVE the restaurant when you are ready. Why be so INCONSIDERATE of the customer’s time like that? Why not earn your pay the CORRECT way by being a CONSIDERATE HUMAN BEING? People want to leave the restaurant and the servers would rather “turn-n-burn” the table for the next set of customers to make money, well if she kept the customer copy when there was a wait for a table, she was preventing customers from being seated sooner even the evil waitress. Very MEAN and INCONSIDERATE! I couldn’t fathom doing something like that to another human being. I honestly couldn’t.
For her to lie to me after the fact was just stupid, because even if something doesn’t print, for her not to have the 3 pieces of paper is her doing all the way no matter what the machine does or doesn’t do. I should get back the check(itemized receipt), the merchant copy of my credit card receipt and the customer copy of the credit card receipt. She didn’t care she took someone else’s time away from them. That’s what REALLY hurts the very most of all. The time it took for her to get the check and the time it took for her to tell me the selfish story about how she leaves it at the computer on purpose. To make customers wait longer to leave is not going to get her the best tip she could possibly get. HOW STUPID can she be? It is VERY MUCH MALICE and that’s what hurts that the manager was on my side about how she couldn’t do this, but to say it wasn’t malice, well yeah it was PURE MALICE, because she wanted to make 100% sure she got her tip no matter at WHO’S TIME expense she costs. She also was so stupid to say she didn’t do it for me when she told me she did initially. I was just so surprised at how VERY EXTREMELY SELFISH this waitress was not to think about NO ONE ELSE BUT HER SELFISH SELF!
I just can’t believe she stupidly told me the truth. She should have lied about that she grabbed it too quickly. I would have honestly believed her(yes I'm gullible). She would have gotten still a low tip for the crappy service she gave otherwise as well, but I would not have stiffed her. She got stiffed because she intentionally made me wait longer for an item that she didn't just forget it. She is pretty darn dingy if you ask me to tell a customer the GOD’S HONEST TRUTH to purposely create an issue at a table.
This reminds me of the another restaurant experience where a waitress once at a restaurant my husband and I had never been to out of town before on a really busy Sunday afternoon even had a wait for a table for. I ordered the appetizer when greeted adding just a side of ranch to it. After she comes to get our entrée orders and when we are in the middle of ordering, a food runner comes to bring the appetizer to us without the ranch, right away she tells us I quote “I didn’t put the ranch on the ticket, because the food runners don’t read the tickets.” How dingy she was, is that she didn’t realize that she was not blaming the food runners, she was actually admitting even though she didn’t say it verbatim “I was too lazy to put that a side of ranch into the computer and I was too lazy to bring it out when I came to get your entrée orders as well when I very well could have” is what she really was saying. I can’t believe some of these servers are acting so dingy to tell the customers the HONEST TRUTH they aren’t doing their job and are totally UNCARING, INCONSIDERATE, LAZY, AND VERY SELFISH PEOPLE. It’s unbelievable to think this waitress thought she was blaming the food runners. I mean how STUPID can this waitress be, seriously?? I did report it and the only reason she got an 8% tip was because after that happened I asked her to bring the condiments ahead of time for my entrée. Get this, she was so lazy she asked what refill my husband had at the end since we got some refills to-go which at the same time we also asked for the check which she was too lazy to read the check, because the actual drink names were on the check(she didn’t write it down though, so she didn’t have that to verify with, but she had the check she could have found out what my husband had. That’s how lazy some servers are today. They don’t even want to take 2 seconds to see on their own what the drink was or press the button for ranch or put in ranch into the computer(5 seconds).
I truly didn’t realize servers were THIS selfish and self-absorbed until this and the circling of the gratuity scale we have had done to us as well as the servers that don’t check over the check for accuracy for wrong prices. If they don’t care about your time or your money, WHY should you care about theirs? It’s should be an EQUAL/EQUAL relationship between server and customer where the server cares about your time and money, the customer cares equally about their server’s money. That’s how it SHOULD GO to be FAIR AND EVEN! NO, it’s ENTITLED and SELFISH is what it is. People wonder why I have a vendetta against servers some people have said, well, I don’t have it for all, but look at how they TREAT US CUSTOMERS. I mean ZERO RESPECT is how they treat us. They don’t act like we have other things to do in life. We don’t want to wait around for our customer copy or longer for our check to point out how to tip when that’s our decision or longer to leave to write things on the credit card receipt taking up more of our time away from us. The longer we sit, the longer you can’t make more money you dumb servers that do these things! HOW STUPID can these servers be if you do these things, huh? Especially if they have a wait for a table, you are hurting yourselves. You may even lose a customer if they wait too long for a table. I know, I have seen a couple leave in front of us they felt they waited too long to be seated even after waiting a while, they just decided to leave.
So to the customers out there that feel sorry for servers, how do you feel now seeing how SELFISH servers are at times from what happened through my experiences these days? I didn’t say all servers, but A LOT of servers seem to be selfish. Why are servers so mean and selfish like this? As I said, the waitress at the first restaurant I talked about found the time to make a separate trip to the table to bring me the customer copy, but didn’t find the time to bring me my first soft drink or take 2-3 SECONDS to look at the dr. pepper to notice if it’s out of syrup or not. What a MEAN and SELFISH well you know. I kind of remember a couple of times during the many years of eating out we had to ask for the customer copy, but I thought it was just a mistake, now I know, it’s probably not EVER a real mistake now that this happened to me. I can’t believe she actually told me the truth that she made me wait longer to leave to make sure she’d get her precious tip as if everyone is going to do this that can’t read or something. She’s so SELFISH and ENTITLED! The main thing that bother me the most was:
That she made me wait LONGER TO LEAVE ON PURPOSE, NOT BY ACCIDENT. It's just MEAN, MEAN, MEAN, MEAN, MEAN! NOBODY LOVES WAITING, EVEN HER, so WHY DO THAT TO ANOTHER HUMAN BEING ON THIS EARTH, HUH??? VERY MALICE IN MY EYES. Still hurts and this happened in late 2018.
While I know during this time we can't go out to eat, this is for the future times when things get back to normal in restaurants.
What do you all think about how mean this waitress was that did this to me?
I tried this ranch once at a Movie Theater. They don't sell it in stores, unfortunately, but it is SOOO GOOD for a package ranch.(at least to my taste). I also hate hidden valley myself.
Last night I had fried pickles with ranch. Delish. Had some tonight, too.
But did you pay for it? Or cut in line buying them?
So...what do you suppose springy's views are on things like comped dinners at casinos?
What about people who send a kid to hold a place in line at the grocery store while they finish the last aisle?
It's fair at casinos because EVERYONE gets it as to how much you play as well as when you are a first time customer. You aren't really getting it free if you lose at gambling.
If a kid holds a place in line, that's fair since someone is actually in line.
I am not sure why you would think I would think these things wouldn't be fair? I have gotten comps at casinos myself. We just recently went to hard rock casino got 2 free buffets for just signing up, which so does EVERYONE get either I believe it was a t-shirt or a free buffet, but it's your choice, per person that signs up. You get freebies as to how much you play, so if you play and win, then yeah it's free, but honestly most of the time if you put your winnings back in and then lose it, it's not truly free, you are just giving it back to the casino. Now if you let's say for example go to a slot machine, bet the max, pull the lever win 2,000 for example and never play anything else or even play $1,999 and lost it all, you still win something from it($1.00). The thing is, if you only play one slot pull, you won't get the freebies you would get if you play more, so yeah, it's fair. Gambling knowingly is luck of the draw. So when you go to a casino, you know what you are getting into.
Things that aren't fair are things like kids meals when adults order them that for example, Outback charged more for the *SAME AMOUNT OF FOOD* for my mom that got the child's chicken tenders(she can't tolerate spicy food very well so that's why she ordered that), but she was charged more because she was an adult. The thing is, if you order it to-go for a child, I am pretty sure you'd get charged the child's portion. THAT is unfair BS! What if the person ordering isn't ordering for a child? I think it's overcharging the customer if you charge someone more than the price on the menu REGARDLESS of age. I think it's wrong. I feel if they had it on the menu listed "Child chicken tenders $5.99" "Adult chicken tenders(same amount as the child) $7.99" at least it would be listed on the menu, but it still wouldn't be totally fair since you wouldn't get the more for your money paying a higher price. To me that's theft by charging someone more. If someone wants a small portion of food, why can't they order a small item and get charged the amount it truly is for EVERYONE?
Because I was always so short and look young for my age, I was able even at 13 or 14yrs old get the child's meal. The reason, my mom didn't want me to waste money since I wasn't going to eat an adult sized meal, I just wasn't. I was never an overweight child or even near that, so I didn't need to order an adult meal. At least at that age, you can kind of hide your age since nobody has an ID that young, well at least when I was growing up anyways.
Other things that are unfair are senior citizen discounts and military discounts. Also, police officer discounts as well. Everyone should have to pay no matter what age or profession. If I ran a restaurant, I wouldn't discriminate as restaurants do like that. I would charge EVERY SINGLE PERSON REGARDLESS of what profession or age or if they fought for our country. Why should they get a discount, but not everyone else? I mean doctors save lives and do have jobs that you can risk your life touching all of those people's blood, needles, etc. just as police officers are, but doctors don't get discounts.
Do you understand what I am saying? Pricing should be EVEN for ALL REGARDLESS of anything(except for restaurant problems that are SOLELY CAUSED by the restaurant employees themselves).
NO, but it's very SAD that you are doing this to INNOCENT people. How would you like someone to take a photo of you and your family, then put words on it like that, not even nice words, mean words? I bet if that were you, you'd think TWICE BEFORE doing something like this. That's WHY I have NO PHOTOS on the internet, because of people like YOU that will do things to the photos making fun of those people. The answer is of course NO. I look hot compared to that woman. I am not even 100lbs even, so NO, I am NOWHERE NEAR that big.
You know what I love? She never, in her wildest imagination, considered that perhaps the staff that work there pitched in and covered the bill, with no help from Red Lobster Corporate at all. How would "fairness" factor in there?
Easy, that the servers should be paying for *EVERYONE'S MEAL* if they are going to pay ONE CENT even of ONE PARTY'S MEAL. Are you that stupid?
She doesn't seem to get that they didn't comp the meal because he died. They comped it because of her customer loyalty. Liiiiiiiike businesses do all the damn time.
She is so far gone. When she leaves the grocery store, even the cabbage is disordered.
It is because the person died, because if they didn't, this wouldn't have happened IDIOT!
I always think about her definition of fairness when a clerk opens up a new line at Target or the grocery store. They always call for who was next in line, but sometimes some asshole who is just getting in line barges over there. Springs1 is VERY adamant that with a new line, the rules of the old line DO NOT apply. I just can't wrap my head around it!
No one "CALLED" someone over who was next. That's not what happened and you know it. Also, this was Bed Bath & Beyond, NOT those stores. The cashier motioned the guy over from the other line. No one put a gun to his head to tell him he had to move out the line he was in, did he? I have refused cashiers before that did that. No one MADE ME MOVE. Also, once you leave the line, you LOST ANY SPOT you have or had, because you have ZERO SPOTS. On Black Friday, if people could do this they would. They can't just decide to leave and get in a new line.
Why can't you wrap your head around it? It's************NOT A SINGLE FILE ONE LINE*******************, it's **************SEPARATE LINES************* means *********SEPARATE TURNS**************.
Have you ever switched lines thinking the line would be faster and it ends up being slower(such as a price check or payment issues)? I HAVE LOTS OF TIMES been there, done that.
The guy was in the same spot he had in that line, 2nd. What happened was that I was getting ready to go to a line, saw a line open, was on MY WAY, as I was on my way saw the cashier motion a guy in the other line to come, but I got there first since I was on my way there *******PRIOR******** to the other guy that was in the other LINE(notice I said he wasn't in LINE ONCE HE LEFT THE LINE HE HAD ZERO SPOTS). The guy behind me didn't say a word about it, it was the asshole cashier that said something about that he was first. I was like "I got here before him, first come, first served." "My time is just as important as his." Sorry, but you are wrong 100% wrong. When you are in a different line and *CHOOSE* to MOVE as I have before, sometimes you don't get a better deal. It's a *CHOICE* that the man made. He didn't have to listen to the cashier. As I said before, I have DECLINED offers before because of certain reasons like the cashier wasn't nice or have had ringing up issues with them ringing up wrong prices(like once I got billed for grapes instead of bananas(the girl put in the wrong code for the fruit). No one MAKES the customer move lines and once you move lines you know there's a *CHANCE* you won't be first.
I don't get why you don't understand that the cashier guy motioned him over that he was in another line. There was no "who's next in line" said. You have NO CLUE of WTH you are talking about. That "who's next in line" has happened at like Walgreens due to the close proximity of the lines which makes sense. This wasn't close lines which is why I made it before that guy. Also, I was already walking towards the line, so yeah, I should have first dibs. It's only fair. I was going to go in line. WHO CARES if he was already waiting in *ANOTHER* LINE, notice I said "ANOTHER" LINE. That means it's not one-single line to have turns like that. It's different lines with different turns in each line. Sometimes as I said before, when I moved lines, I ended up waiting A LOT LONGER. That's why if you choose to stay in the line and not listen to the cashiers motions, you may do better. No one made the guy move, so NO, I didn't cut. I also told the cashier if he would have gotten in front of me that he would have been "cutting" in front of me, because it's true. Lines are whoever gets to them first. Lines aren't because someone calls someone over STUPID IGNORANT MORON!
I'm saying the name, dammit! I already said ketchup so there's a good chance her google condiment alert is already tripped.
I almost changed the quote in my response above to that other condiment which shall not be named, but I KNOW she has a google alert for those words. You know...
I came in to agree with Tamb. I stayed for the amazing Saturday night entertainment. Can we all start using huge fonts for one word per post?
How can you agree with someone that forgot something? So I am guessing you blame everyone else when you mess up something or drop something or forget something? Am I right?
**YEAH, TAMB, next time bring your own RANCH dressing to the restaurant. **!!
lol
No, I don't feel she has to do that if it's free or if they do charge her for it that she should have to go through the trouble to do so, however she could if she wants to. I was just saying it wasn't anyone else's fault but her's she forgot something, that's all.
I don't think this is the real springs1. Springs expects servers to just about be able to read her mind, so I don't think she'd be screaming at Tamb about "SELF RESPONSIBILITY."
It is. I forgot at times. That's all I am saying. I honestly don't want my servers to read my mind. If you actually "read" anything I have said, I want them to *ASK* me everything not just do something such as if I want the check, if I want a refill, if I want ketchup, if I want my side salad out before an appetizer, if I want water, if I do want water do I want lemon, etc. Understand that I am 100% BILLION OPPOSITE of wanting them to read my mind, huh?
NO, YOU ARE! Stop acting like someone should blame someone else for their mistakes. If you forgot to bring a jacket with you to work, how is that someone else's fault if *YOU* left the house without it?
NO, YOU ARE to blame someone else for *YOU* forgetting something.
It would be just like if I forgot to get milk from the store when I went and then blaming my husband for it. It's not his fault, he wasn't there. UNDERSTAND MORON?
I am not crazy to say this person should have SELF-RESPONSIBILITY for when she forgets something and you know it. That's just being honest.
You.are.crazy. Anyone who has their shit up to find a post about ranch and restaurants anywhere on the internet is damn near psycho. She said she forgot to get extra. What do you not understand?
That she is BLAMING it on the restaurant owners MORON rather than HERSELFSTUPID IGNORANT IDIOT! ARE YOU THAT DENSE OR WHAT?
