If you're traveling/flying through convenient meal times, what do you bring to eat? Airport food is $$$$, and with no access to microwave, food choices are hard to come by. H hates sandwiches, so other than that, what is good/easy to pack?
we usually bring beef jerky and water and fruit. it isn't like a meal, but since he doesn't like sandwiches, i'm not sure what else. maybe you could bring a bagel and cream cheese? some chips or cheez-its and fruit?
so... what does he want to eat? I don't know, I'd just make H fend for himself, lol. I'm the one that gets cranky without food, but for short flights I don't usual bother bringing much. I'd probably take some kind of snack mix and fruit snacks.
Why don't you just eat a heavy snack before and then get a real meal when you land?
We're leaving right after work to run errands on the way to the airport.
Amanda- if I make him fend for himself, I'm the one that has to deal with his crankiness! I have selfish reasons for wanting him to be full and happy.
I'll prob just make him eat a sandwich
lol I know, I know. You could always put together your own version of one of those things you can buy: fruit, crackers, cheese, deli meat etc. Like a sandwich, but more fun!

haha i like this idea. a build-your-own sandwich will cater to the handy-man in him. i bet he'd like this, and i have all this stuff since i eat salad/sandwich almost everyday. it's like a sandwich in disguise.

exactly! and it appeals to his man-child who also wants to play with food. who doesn't like to play with their food?! so it's food and entertainment for the trip. I want bonus points.
