I finished the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger a couple of months ago. They were fun and lighthearted reads. Anyone have a recommendation that falls under the "steampunk" category?

Can someone please explain to me what Steampunk means/is? I always feel really dumb when it's mentioned because I really have no clue. I recognize the steampunk aesthetic but don't really understand where it came from.

Kady Cross. She has a series. I've only read the novella "The Strange Case of Finley Jane," which might be a kindle freebie. She has 1 or two other books out, too. It's YA, but I don't think that would bother you. Unless you're looking for steamier steampunk.

Damn YA, hope I don't get banned from the new book club board.
