The designer had followed up a few times to make sure they were working on the countertops. They were. They just called him this morning and said the edge profile I ordered is incompatible with the color I ordered - it keeps breaking.
Thanks for the notice, counter fabricators. I ordered these over 5 weeks ago. They have been scheduled for delivery tomorrow for like 2.5 weeks.
The kitchen store said to just pick whatever other edge I want and they'll put a rush on it at no cost for the rush or the edge.
I just wanted to move into a finished house next week, not one with plywood countertops. :-(
Bummer. I hope they fix it fast. It happens to all us. Stress for sure. At least they are not bringing you an incompatible countertop to install. Not like that has happened to me or anything. I feel you.
That would stress me out. Mostly that they couldn't be bothered to let you know. They had to have known a week ago, right?
That's what I'm thinking! And especially because this profile has apparently been a problem with multiple colors.
Grumble.
Now H and I have something else we have to agree on, which at this point is like negotiating an act of congress. It would have been much easier 3-4 weeks ago!
