As I recall they were battling over color schemes in different rooms. Her DH was trying to convince her to get rid of their cats and was constantly asking if she had found homes for them and saying stuff like 'once the cats are gone..', etc. I'm just wondering how that situation is going. With the cats that is.
The cat situation continues...but he's calmed down about it again. It goes in waves.
The latest round of increased cat bullshit was because one of our cats (in a totally understandable cat reaction) peed on our mattress on the day we moved all our furniture off the wood floors and moved the litter box.
I salvaged the mattress and his mom kinda gave him some shit about the issue - so he calmed down again.
I'm sure something else will happen when we move all the furniture again and he'll go off about it again, but at this point I'm fed up enough to no longer entertain his nonsense. He's just gonna get full on crazy pregnant wife treatment.

I kinda thought it was you but wasn't sure. I'm totally with you on this one - the cats were there before he was, right? So yeah let him get over it or under it - animals are not negotiable just because your spouse is less enthusiastic about them.
Oh, I totally didn't mean to make it sound like I don't care about the other situation over the colors, I just figured things like that will resolve themselves whereas an animal in the middle is a whole different story!
LOL, the color situation isn't a big deal really. It's something we'll figure out.
the cat situation involved tears and yelling.
And most recently a random shouted "OMG SHUT UP i DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT THE CATS." in the middle of a party. It was one of those moments like in a movie where all other conversation came to a total halt and everybody in the room stared at us for a few seconds. Just missing the needle screeching off a record.
Haha, this is funny to me b/c my DH had a cat before I met him (we still have it) and I am not a cat person. I can totally imagine all of this happening at my house, especially the part about yelling at the party. :-)
I am the crazy cat lady here. I love them like family. I've had two of the for almost nine years. I told my h that if he didn't respect them we would no longer be married. Shaped him up for a while. I just keep saying you're going to have a lonely life when he pisses me off. It's probably not right, but he's quit talking crap about my cats. So just know you're not alone. I will have cats for the rest of my life, iLife me, love my cats and dog.

I am a crazy cat lady too. I love them to death and have had them all my life. Currently have 5! Fortunately I am married to a fellow animal lover so that makes it much easier.
