Like a royal blue with copper is insanely beautiful too.
ooohhhhhh...I'd love to do our mantle like this. Particularly since it'd be a good excuse to buy some pretty copper items which i'd be able to use year round
I like most color combinations, which is probably why most years I have several trees, and probably why I tend to have at least two trees with a lot of color at no actual color scheme.
I am partial to mixing metallic colors, and I love the gold/brownish coppery and pearly balls and glittery stuff that I bought for my mom this year. I go through phases (jewel tones, red/green/gold...) but currently I love fun combos, like red/white/silver on a white tree, or turquoise/red/silver/whatever.
We moved from Canada to the US, and left most of our sentimental Christmas stuff in storage back in Canada so last Christmas, we started from scratch here. So we let the kids pick and they chose really vibrant purple and pink and blue and green. I wouldn't have picked it but it turns out that I LOVE it. It's fun and cheerful and happy.
When I owned a bridal boutique, we did black and silver and white and crystal - something I wouldn't have done at home expecting it to be really cold but I loved that, too.

I was in the mood to do something different this year, so I mixed our gold and silver ornaments on one tree and am loving the look. We got a small tree for our bedroom last year, and it is decorated in bronze and gold and is my favorite by far:)
I also love mint, turquoise and green holiday decor.
