i've always been intrigued by these websites. my friend ALWAYS books through them and they freak me out. i'm sure it would end up ok, but you never know what you're going to get.
do you use these kind of websites?
how often have you used them and what is your experience?
i'm considering using one for san diego. good idea? bad idea?
how often have you used them and what is your experience? Often, no bad experiences
i'm considering using one for san diego. good idea? bad idea? Good idea if you aren't loyal to a hotel or car chain or need very specific flight times.
I've never used it for flights, but it's awesome for hotels and cars.
Yes I've used hotwire and priceline, and hotels.com for hotels only
We pretty much ALWAYS use priceline (if it's just the two of us - priceline won't guarantee you'll get 2 beds, so if I'm going with a girlfriend and don't want to snuggle - hotels.com/hotwire it is).
I've always had a good experience. That PSA article is what we do on Priceline, and we use betterbidding.com like crazy.
If you are considering, just make sure you really do your research on what hotels you might end up with, what hotels are how many stars, etc. so you won't be disappointed with what you end up with.
we're flying into la. staying with family. we'lld rive down to sandiego and stay the night and do sight seeing.. for a day or two. so in this case, would you use it?
ok.. do you think it'll be less than $300 for a car? Because costcotravel.com has some great prices on cars... less than 300 with 2nd driver. for a week.

Possibly, but maybe not picking up at LAX.
Hotwire tells you the price off the bat, it's just the company that you don't see till you agree to the price.
