Please figure out which in the hell day you'd like to have Christmas. I'm wearing holes in my calendar from all the scribbling and rescribbling this is requiring.
Signed,
Dairy. Who has no life so which day doesn't matter to her, but you're all moving in my house so a half plan would be nice.
Are you talking about my IL's? Are you related to my DH?
LOL. I love my family but someone always wants to rearrange. And my sister whom I love otherwise, has a tendency to want her way and win all the time. I just agree, because if they all come to my house I don't have travel and lug stuff everywhere. Putting up with this Saturday, Monday, Christmas Eve in the afternoon, Christmas Day business is easier.
MIL doesn't think it's a good idea because BIL will have driven and arrived on the 22nd and might be tired. (Um, he is 33, he also agreed to the 23rd?)
And she wants to set alternate dates in case someone gets sick. Lady, there are 5 children under the age of 10 and a pregnant lady. There is a chance that someone might have the stomach flu...but if you delay the party and the stomach flu is going around, it's going to take the week to work its way through the whole family.

Ugh.
Won't BIL have a whole night to rest up? I know traveling sucks but it doesn't take all that long to rest up.
We're fighting between Sunday the 23rd and Christmas Day. If we do the 23rd do we do presents the night before so we can to an extended family event on Sunday or do we just skip that. My sister doesn't want it too late on the 23rd because she works Christmas Eve day and wants to head back. My brother doesn't want it on Christmas Day because his girlfriend works later. My Dad works in there somewhere but doesn't know when but the 23rd was safe for him. H wants the weekend because he has more chore help. My mom wants Christmas Day because of the extended family thing. On and On repeat. With a new call in 10 minute increments with a different idea.
Me? I want wine!
H is one of six. They pick the day that's mutually agreeable at the time. If you don't get there you don't get there. (They love odd, random days as there's so many other events for all them. This year it's New Year's Day afternoon. I'm fine with it!)

Lol at the stomach flu.
Every single Christmas when I was a kid someone had it, and gave it to every single other person. Family bonding over my grandparents one toilet! Wheeee!

Do you have my in laws this year? I was super proud of my in laws. They picked a day at thanksgiving and even asked if I work that weekend! They never do that. Usually it changes a few times and usually we aren't even considered.

Somehow I became the decider in my family. I have the say where everything is going to happen and when. I'm the oldest sibling. Coordinating is not a job I would wish on anyone.
