Does anybody know how to fix a broken candle? I had a full size three wick Leaves candle from BBW (my favorite scent!) and it got knocked off a shelf and the glass container broke and some of the wax broke apart as well, so now I have a bowl full of broken wax with no wick. Is there any way I can melt it down and insert a wick? This candle had about half its burning life left and I can't stand the idea of throwing away all that expensive wax. I would love to salvage it if at all possible!
Can you get a tart burner? Cut the candle up into small pieces and use them as 'tarts' with the burner.
OMG Wop! Can you tell I haven't had enough coffee yet? That's a great idea as I have several small tart burners around the house. I wouldn't mind having a larger and more decorative one though. Thanks!
But I'm still curious as to whether anybody has ever 'rebuilt' or made a new candle by melting down wax and putting in a wick.

yup, you can totally repurpose the wax. Any craft store will sell wicks. Just find a jar to pour it in. Or something you can use as a mold, but that's more work (getting it out of the mold) You'll lose some of the scent when you melt it down though, so be prepared for the "new" candle to be milder in scent. If you'd like to keep the full strength then the tart burner is the way to go.
Hey Ali you changed your avatar on us! A reg on ML has the same thing. I was so confused for a minute. Lol
Haha! I just thought it was time for a change. I first tried uploading a photo from the scene where Countess Dowager says 'what is a weekend' during dinner but it was squished up and didn't look right.
