Diaper #1 of my CD stash, that is.
I can't believe how thick and fluffy it is, it's kind of comical to imagine it on a little 10 pound baby! I don't have any stuffed animals to try it out on, so no pics of it "in action" until I have a real live baby.

Bugandbibs - yeah, I plan to get lots of different kinds to try out. I'm trying to figure out what I want to do for the NB phase - probably prefolds + covers, and maybe some fitteds and AIOs. Any suggestions?

PFs and covers are by far the easiest and cheapest. They adjust the best to any body shape, and when you go through 6 during a single change because your NB won't stop pooing you won't care. We also had a few fitteds and they were nice for the diaper bag and night time. I have never used NB AIOs since they get mixed reviews. I think it can be harder to get a good fit, and they cost a lot for what you get.
My preference on covers, is that you should get ones with double gussets. I like bummis superbrite, RaR OS, BB mini and OS coverall, and sized thirsties covers the best. There are lots of options for PFs. Green Mountain diapers are good. I just bought unbleached cotton from my local CD shop and they worked fine. I would start looking around for deals on used CDs to start trying out different brands and styles.

I have heard lots of good things about the Thirsties duo wrap covers, so I'll definitely check those out.
I am torn about the duos. Lots of people love them, but they weren't great for us. We constantly had problems with the rise snaps unsnapping, and they were too wide for us in the crotch area until G was around 4 months. Once she was big enough to have them unsnapped we liked them better.
Do you have any CD stores near you? We originally planned to use the duos from birth, but they were too big. We ended up going into our local Cotton Babies store and discovered a huge love for the bummis superbrite NB and xs thirsties. I guess what I am saying, is if you start with the duos and they don't work for you, how fast can you get something else?

There is at least one CD store in my area. I also have Amazon prime, so I get free 2-day shipping on a ton of stuff. I'll get a few different types of covers for my NB stash, so hopefully I'll have *something* that'll work for us. I'm definitely not going to buy just one type of diaper (for any stage), because I know not every diaper works on every baby.
I am not even pregnant, but I have a little stash going. I'll have to post a pic sometime. I bought a few grovia's (2 newborn aio, 2 one size aio and 2 hybrids) last year when there was a sale at 40% off. I refuse to by anymore even though I see good deals and it's hard not too.
