He's okay - his face and lip are still all puffy but getting better. We go for a follow up x-ray tomorrow to see if he needs to have his jaw wired and/or other surgery. I'm praying not.
Andrea's been a rockstar. I'm...well...I haven't cried yet today?
Poor kid, he must have hit really hard, and you must have been (be) terrified. I hope he doesn't need wiring or surgery, but even if he does you guys are strong enough to get through it. I'm glad Andrea is keeping you a little sane. Keep us updated.
And for my news, you guys think you're on edge?! Calls are typically between 3 and 5, but I will let you know...
CT, hugs to you, Sprout, and Andrea. How incredibly scary. Hoping you get good news tomorrow.
Other than the physical injuries, how is Sprout doing? Sounds like things have been tough lately. (It's okay if this is more revealing than you want to get on a public board).

he's been doing great, actually. The injury was sustained during his first tantrum in a really long time (summer?) and Wednesday was his parent teacher conference for school and we got a very good report. He is having trouble with the holidays, though...missing his mom big time. Its crazy to think that we are coming up on a year since seeing her

This is going to sound hippie/crazy, but I think our bodies have an internal time sense when anniversaries are coming up, even when we're not consciously aware of it. So I'm sure the holidays and a year since seeing her is making him feel bad even if he doesn't know that's what it is. This happens to me in early December and late May every year, and it's only when I stop and ask myself what is going on that I remember they're big crappy anniversaries from when my dad was sick.
Glad he's generally doing well. Hope you hear good news at the doc's today.
