Our house is ranch style meaning all the bedrooms are in one side. The neighbors on that side foreclosed a couple years ago and it was vacant. Recently a very nice family bought, gutted it and rebuilt it. Most if the work was find on Saturdays. It was loud and annoying but that's ok. A family was moving in. It wasn't going to be a rental so we were all excited. But they moved in last week and they have a DOG that BARKS and it sounds like its sitting right outside our bedroom window. And it's IN their house so there's not much else they can do about it. They must leave for work at 5:45 am because that's when it starts. It's not constant, just basically morning time and nap time. H is outside raking while I try to get her down and we're listening to it. I guess we are going to have to get used to it. I think I'm becoming a hamster person.
Yes, you can whine. Our neighbors have a big dog. IDK his name, but we call him Marmaduke. He really only barks when he is in the back yard, but we play a lot in the backyard. The girls have just started to bark back at him.
Aw that is cute. I'm trying not to swear about this one so Amelia doesn't start cursing when a dog starts barking for the rest of her life. They're a super nice family and its not like they leave their dog outside all day. H saw the dog and said its a golden retriever. They're all American (well actually only the son speaks English I think) and they saved the house next door from condemnation. It's just a little noise. Before the baby I wouldn't have cared less. And I still don't really, Amelia ended up napping just fine and it's never woken her up in the morning yet. ( that will not be a good day for me). Thank you for letting me vent
Maybe you could casually let them know. Maybe they don't know he's barking when their not home? Maybe the dog is adjusting tothe new home & will settle down eventually?
