I've been mostly posting on MMM, but just realized that this board exists.

Can I join in here?

I'm technically a first time mom, though I do have a 6-year-old stepson that my H and I have half the time. We've been married just over a year, together for seven, and H was SO excited when I told him I was pregnant because he's been bugging me for more kids since before we got married.

Looking forward to getting to know some of you!

Have you told him yet that you're pregnant?

We're trying to figure out the best way to tell him. We're planning to tell our families on Christmas Eve (11 weeks) and want to make sure he isn't surprised by it too so we'll probably tell him earlier that day.

I'm so nervous that he's going to hate the idea. Some days he tells us he wants a brother or sister and some days he tells us that he'd rather have another dog and wants to be an only child. Should be interesting!

We are waiting for a while - we are going on vacation next month so we are going to tell him before that (as I will be in a bathing suit and I think it will be rather obvious). Plus his mom has had two more kids so he knows what a pregnant woman looks like! He has been asking us when we are going to have kids, and we know he was excited about his other siblings, so we think the news will go over more than ok with him!

I think I'm most nervous because his mom doesn't plan on having other kids, and I don't want him to think that coming to dad's house means he gets less attention because we'll have another one to take care of. I'm sure everything will be fine though.
