Not me, thank god. This girl finished up right as I was starting. She started to walk towards the door, and put her hands out, like she was trying to steady herself. She sat down at the snack table and looked like she was going to start crying. The woman drawing my blood ran over to her and she was out. The were shoving ice down her shirt and putting wet rags on her face. She woke up, and I guess she was still in shock, and started crying. Loud. They finally got her onto a cot and behind some dividers. Poor girl.
I made out fine though! They had to stick me in both arms, but other than that, no issues.

I used to volunteer at blood drives, and people would always pass out. This one time they had the snack table in a super hot room, and people were dropping like flies.
DH used to give blood all of the time but the last time he did we had sex a few hours later and he passed out. That was 10 years ago and they still constantly call and ask him to come and donate.
I'm a pass-er out-er. I didn't used to be. Only in the last year. I get real hot and flushed, then dizzy. They usually cover me in ice and make me drink lots.
i have friends who used to donate blood regularly so they could get drunk for cheaper. this was in college. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM is now a teacher. this cracks me up. a lot.
I always pass out, but I don't get upset or cry or anything. I just pass out and eventually wake back up. I am banned from giving blood though cause apparently they don't like that or something.
I pass out occasionally anyways. I have vasovagel syncope which causes my issue.

I gave blood many times
One time, no idea why, but I gave blood, sat at the table, ate my snack, and felt fine. I went to get up to leave and next thing I know I am surrounded by people covering me with ice and the second I opened my eyes they were chanting at me to cough. All I could think was holy crap I am COLD and STF up. I'm trying to figure out what happened, the LAST thing I want to think about is coughing!
I haven't given blood since, though I consider if often, but then have flash backs not of passing out, but the annoying people yelling at me to cough! I haven't given blood since for this reason alone!

One of the best parts of being military was watching big beefy macho men pass out when needles entered their field of vision. It was almost a daily LOL.

The first time I gave blood I passed out. I didn't even get to stand up first; the room just got really hot and my ears were buzzing and they reclined my chair all the way and had me wiggle my toes and cough. The next thing I knew I was all wet (they apparently squeezed a sponge out all over me).
They gave me cookies and juice and told me to eat lunch the next time before I donated. I haven't had any issues since. I haven't given in awhile because the places I travel for work remove me from the eligible pool, but I'm hoping to give again after I give birth.
My boyfriend passed out while donating. I haven't had issues with blood, but when I donated plasma in college I would get real clammy and dizzy. All for $20.
