H and I don't agree with the lazy Susan. I bought 8 single Susans (4 big and 4 small) where 2 big + 2 small will be at each corner of the pantry. H thinks they're not necessary, we don't need it and the pantry is better without them. I, on the other hand, believe they will help maximize the corner.
WDYT?
Here's the finished pantry:
The following shows the single lazy Susans (1 big and 1 small) when they were building the pantry shelving.
I usually hate those things..lol. However, in your case and with those corners I'd be all over it. Those are prime sharp corners in which to lose stuff.
Eh, those are open corners and I don't see them as necessry. I can see the purpose in a corner cabinet or something where you can't see the back. I don't know if they would be worth the expense to me, except maybe on upper shelves.

I'll be interested to see what you think in the end. I usually hate those things and see Pamela's point about the shelves being open so it not being such a big deal.
At first I didn't think they were necessary either, but then I noticed that the deeper shelf she is modeling it on has a deep overhang which makes it almost cabinet-like. That's the reason I voted yes.
I would use them on the lower shelves, but not the higher ones. The higher ones you can actually see to the back. The lower ones you have to get down and peer in there to find stuff you lost in the back shelves.
My answer changes if you are a shorty and can't actually see into the top shelves. (or if they are taller than they look. I'm judging by the height of that counter area that they aren't)
I think it depends what you're planning to store there. I'd probably just use one or two LSs in corners where you have small items and it makes sense (but then I'd probably get the 2-tiered spice rack type of LSs). Otherwise, I'd just put tall things in the corner and/or things you're not likely to forget/miss (e.g. I'd use the corners to store tall boxes of cereal or our big serving bowls).
Thank you all for the feedback. I contacted the site foreman this morning about waiting to install the susans so H and I can talk about it further, but he said the carpenter just installed them. I told him to just keep the boxes. If we find them uselss, we can always remove them and I can try to sell them on eBay or Craigslist.
