I actually have no plans for the entire long weekend. Oh wait, I'm hosting a baby shower tomorrow-does that count? Copious wine/mimosa drinking is in the plans, obviously.

Well, that is a lovely plan!

I am supposed to go to a shower on Sunday but I'm dreaming about skipping it because it's way out in the burbs (at least 30 minutes each way) and also I'm not a fan of showers in general. I like ones only where I can hold a new baby.

Haha! I know. He usually is only good for one long nap a day and I prefer it to be the noon one, otherwise he goes way too long awake before bedtime and he's a hot mess.

(he generally refuses a third nap, and currently takes forever instead of the previous 7 minutes to fall asleep because the hot new game in our house instead of going right to sleep involves an elaborate routine involving rocking on all fours, sitting up and lying back down, sometimes pulling up to standing, and then eventually either getting stuck in the slats and screaming or sleeping. SIGH.)

Yes! I would like that one. I like that it's called that (here we just call it a meet the baby brunch). I'll bring that language here for my sister's shower/sip and see.

I totally know what you mean about the napping thing. L takes forever to fall asleep now, and the past few days all of her naps have been 30 minutes long. merrrrr.

I'm not doing anything this weekend. DH and I kept talking about making plans and then never did. We're attempting to take the kids to get pictures at the mall on Monday. I am usually opposed to that sort of portrait but there was a groupon. I'm not looking forward to it at all, but I need to use the thing before it expires. Damn my impulse buying.

I plan to let MH and FIL do most of it (thanks to LO!), but I still need to direct where I want things, go outside in the hot trailer now and then, and lose all my cold air from the A/C out the door.

sort of related....H and I just started watching Revenge on Hulu....it is quite entertaining! It's like a cheesy soap opera, but it airs at night.
