We're going shopping at C&B this weekend. Kaylie graciously gave me her coupon code the other day; so I shopped online and picked it up last night. While we were there, we picked up two of these:
We saw a million other things we wanted to pick up as well, but didn't have time. Alas, we will be spending some time there and at West Elm this weekend. We also need to work on our house like crazy. As of 2 days ago, we've owned for a year, and it feels like nothing has been accomplished. And since our house is what I like to call a disaster, my new lovely dreidel plates will not go into commission until next year. C'est la vie.
It's a fun day here! H is taking me to lunch, we're letting Rubes pick out a Christmas tree and getting me some new earrings for Christmas. Later my sister is coming for the weekend. Christmas movies and booze tonight. Tommorow taking Rubes to see Santa and some shopping.
I'm thrilled. We haven't done anything as a family in weeks!
We're nearly done xmas shopping. Just need MH to buckle down for 2 seconds and come up with some ideas for his dad and brother, and I need to go buy a bunch of frames. (GMIL, MIL, GM, mom, sister, BIL, brother and BIL are all getting assorted frameable items)
This weekend we're planning to make a mess of the LR one last time prepping the hearth for it's new stone (which we don't actually have yet), and then clean up that mess. Then caulk the LR trim, paint the trim and room, take our rugs to get cleaned, finish up odds and ends in the two upstairs bathrooms (towel rods, etc), install our closet doors, finish up the rest of the trim upstairs (at least our room and the baby room), install the guts of our closet, and get the master bedroom trim puttied, caulked and otherwise prepped for paint, if not actually painted.
I anticipate about 70% completion rate on that list.

I have a lot of stuff going on this weekend, but hopefully I can finish removing the tile in the hallway and take out the powder room fixtures - we're full steam ahead on the downstairs reno and the faster I can get the old stuff out the faster I can get the new stuff in!
I was hoping to start priming this weekend, but I don't think I'll get to it.
Other than that I'm so happy it's friday, and I can't wait until I can leave at 4:30!
TGIF! This has been an awful week and I'm glad Friday finally arrived. But seeing how it isn't even 8:30 yet, 4 is still along way off.
Tonight will be a low key, stay in night for me. I will likely catch up on some tv and do some laundy. I have to work 10 hours of overtime tomorrow so it'll be early to bed tonight and a long Saturday.
Saturday evening I'm hanging out with my mom and Sunday will hopefully be spent getting the Christmas presents I need to mail together, wrapped, and ready for the post office. I also need to run a bunch of errands, do some painting touch-ups, and unpack a few more boxes...will it ever end?

Seriously TGIF. For serious. I've already worked 50+ hours this week and today has barely gotten started.
Tonight we're going to an open house about 2 hours from here for the letterpress company we buy our Christmas cards from. And we'll be picking up our Christmas cards at the same time.
Tomorrow will be a low-key day for sure. Probably sleep in, make some donuts, hang around the house getting stuff done, etc.
Sunday we have church and then I don't know what the plans are for the afternoon.
I think I am the only one dreading Friday. Tonight I am in a play at church. I enjoy watching plays but I do NOT want to act in one. I didn't even volunteer. The lady in charge called and guilted me in to taking a small part. I was fine with that but then one of the main characters had to quit and I was the only one who could do it since most of the other characters are kids. I am sooooooo not looking forward to this. It has been bad enough that I have had to go to practice twice a week since October and missed out on a lot of time with DH but it is even worse when you have absolutely no desire to be there. I really wish I was better at saying "no" when people give me guilt trips. On a better note, we have our annual family breakfast and Chrismas tree shopping with the in-laws tomorrow. After that we will spend the day decorating and just relaxing. I am definitely looking forward to that because I love it and I know the kids will have a great time.
TGIF! I had the flu this week and am just now feeling normal. It's my first flu since having DD and as a SAHM it sucked. Here's hoping no one else gets it. It's supposed to rain here all weekend but I'm hoping we can get a tree tomorrow afternoon.
