Does anyone here follow a cleaning schedule?

(I know some of you already answered this question for me, but get over it. )

I decided to investigate this today, and DH and I are going to give it a try. I customized one based off of the JustMommies cleaning/organization schedule. Hopefully we'll be successful!

I came up with a super basic one in my head and some weeks I'm really good at following it and others I'm an utter failure.

I try to do the dishes every day and if I do that I consider myself a success.

That's one of the daily tasks on my shiny new schedule, along with making the beds and picking up clutter. That seems pretty decent to me.

I need to get on board with this. I posted about an hour ago about how messy my apartment is right now, but I just did the dishes and took out all the trash. But it's the maintenance that kills me.

I just try to make sure all dishes are done at the end of the day and do laundry when the hamper is full (usually EOD between the two of us). That alone keeps things tidy enough so that if MIL stopped by unexpected I wouldn't be embarrassed. We do all the other cleaning on the weekends and/or as needed.

Yes and no. We clear off counters nightly, and make sure laundry is done weekly.

SS has to clean his bathroom about once every three weeks. He's pretty clean for an 11 year old.

Can you link both lists? MH and I are considering getting a maid, but we still need a list to help us with daily stuff.
