I'm planning on painting my half bath this weekend, after we tear everything out. Most of the fixtures will be white or brushed nickel, with the exception of the vanity. The floor will be white marble honeycomb tiles with dark grout. I'm trying to decide: Wedgwood blue or dark grey? And by dark, I do mean dark. The fixtures are leaning towards modern.
Second question: if I go grey, does this vanity still work, or should I get a plain white pedestal?

I would vote for dark grey, but I'm slowly painting most of my house grey, LOL. I like the cripsness of a white vanity against a dark color paint, but from what I can see the one you have selected would look fine. How's the light in the room? Any natural light? That would probably sway my decision as well. Dark vanity + dark paint + no natural light could make for a very dark space.

Not a bit, unless you count what comes under the door. I did just get a new three-light light fixture that should provide a lot of light when it's on, though.
I was also thinking of painting the ceiling light blue. I thought it might make an interesting statement.

I voted light blue, just because I think that would look really nice and gray is still a neutral on top of other neutrals. But since I saw you get no natural light, I would DEFINITELY do light blue.

It won't be light blue, though. It'll be closer to this:
They grey I'm leaning towards is this:
Remember, this is my HALF bath... doesn't get used a lot, more of a statement piece. I wouldn't go so dramatic in a full bath.
I voted for blue, because I think that's a gorgeous color of blue.
I'm also a fan of gray, but if I picked the gray, I would get the white vanity. Our vanity is an espresso color and I just don't like the combo. And I love dark wood, so it's weird that I don't like that combo.
As another poster said, I think dark gray with white is gorgeous.
So, to sum up my opinions (lol), if you use the vanity in the post, I would go with blue, but if you choose the gray paint color, I would go with a white vanity.
Well, I voted for blue because I like some color. But I don't think the gray would look bad, especially if you got some colorful accents. Adding some turquoise accents with that gray would look hot.
