My plans for the day got cancelled because it's snowing and the roads are bad (booooooo).
I don't understand Flo Rida's song "I Cry"....he says When I need a healing, I just look up the the ceiling, I see the sun coming down I know its all better now. Ummmm, how can you see the sun coming down if you're in a building??
My supervisor told me that he wants me to use all of my time off before the end of the year because "when you've been here for 20 years, you'll be pissed that you gave the State 8 hours for free". So he's letting me take off the full week of Christmas. And then I'm off the whole next week for my trip.

I'm starving and really want dunkin donuts coffee & bagel but I'm trying to wait until 11 so I can go to a store in the same complex to pick up a Christmas present. There's really no reason I need to wait for the store to open at 11 when I could go any other day of the week.
I would pay someone to wrap presents for me- I hate it and of course have a few things that are super weird shapes, which makes it even worse!

I went there yesterday. I tried to go to macdonalds because I was SERIOUSLY craving a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. I get there at 10:57 and the fuckers tell me they are serving lunch. It is still breakfast time, bitches! So I headed to DD after that.

McDonalds breakfast sounds awesome too. I haven't gone there in a long, long time!
I don't have a coffee pot at home which sucks when I am desperate for a coffee!
I'm sick and need to cancel on the paralyzed dude I'm secretly happy because I'm scared to go out with him. What if a place isn't accessible? I'm afraid ill act like a moron. I used to work with people with disabilities so why can't I act normal?
You had BETTER reschedule!!!!! Because if you don't, he will assume you just don't want to date him because he has a disability. You don't want to look like *that* girl, do you???

I called him so he could hear my voice. When I asked to reschedule he was like "yeah, we'll work it out". Maybe he doesn't really want to go out I heard his STBXW in the background as him a question because they still live together. WTF?! THIS is why I don't like dating men who aren't divorced yet regardless of whether their legs or penis work
MCC, I am just pulling your leg. Cause I want a peen answer, haha! Hope you feel better soon!

Living with the STBX would be a dealbreaker for me. I don't want to worry about him staying the night and her getting pissed, or going to his place and seeing her. Ick.

I know, me too but she's moving out in January. She bought a condo and had to fix it up a bit. He seemed understanding and pleasant on the phone though but didn't want to settle down with plans. I was like, I'm pretty busy (spurts off schedule this week) so maybe we can grab coffee after school if you don't have your daughter? What day works and he was like ok lets keep in touch.
Doris - any good tales from the pokey? Also, your supervisor sounds like a great man. Anyone who pushes vacation time is good in my book.
I need to stop looking at houses online. I'm getting close to having enough money to get out, but looking at what's out there makes me want to get out NOW which is a tad premature.

I got a note on my door from crazy neighbor, reminding me how that spot is hers, and I shouldn't take advantage of her space just bc she doesn't use it. She then attached a copy of the parking assignments. Lady I got it. I park in the space that says "J".

I like my supervisor....although I've heard he can be quite the douche bag. A situation came up, that I talked to him about on Friday afternoon, and he handled it in 5 minutes and thanked me for coming to him directly and said he thinks I have a good head on my shoulders for how I managed the situation.
Prison stories....I learned about the process to get married in prison, which I think people IRL could really benefit from!! They are required to have 12 sessions of marriage counseling (from an approved counselor), which needs to be 30 days apart and a minimum of 2 hours per session. They also have to address a lot of the huge issues in marriages as well as discussing the whole marrying a prisoner thing.
I also found out that someone who has Gender Identity Disorder (which is a medical condition) can have a sex change on the State's dime.
I've read a lot of really disturbing things that inmates have done. It's equal parts terrifying and intriguing.

I'm surprised there are such strict requirements to get married while in prison. I just assumed no one really gave a fuck because the people were nutso, and there'd be no requirements. Very interesting.
WTF to being able to have a sex change on the State's dime?!

The prison I'm at has been open for 10 years and no one has ever gotten married there because there are a ton of rules. AND if the wedding was really going to happen, the inmate would need to pay for all the additional staff needed.

Rikki-iPhone
Is it a condo or apt? I'd be tempted to read the rules about affixing letters to outsides of buildings and then inform her of her violation if there's an HOA rule against it

"when you've been here for 20 years, you'll be pissed that you gave the State 8 hours for free". I like this a lot. Yay! For two weeks of vacay!
I also found out that someone who has Gender Identity Disorder (which is a medical condition) can have a sex change on the State's dime. I am impressed by this and the marriage requirements. I agree that everyone could benefit from marriage counseling requirements.
It has been so warm lately. Yesterday it was in the 80s and it's 72 right now. I appreciate still getting to wear my flip flops, but I really just want to wear some cozy sweaters and fun scarves. It is December people!!
I had to run out first thing this morning and buy a humidifer for A. XH called me last night to let me know that A's cold seems to have gone viral, and that a humidifier is helping his breathing. So I got one, and if A is still sick I am taking him to the doctor tomorrow
And Bully since you rejected AB for sex I am posting this on his behalf. Cuz you know we are all about bro's before ho's. This actually might be cheesier than the Kiss video I posted for Doris..that is saying a lot.
:: Fist pounds an imaginary AB :: hahaha....Ok I will stop trying to be funny now.

My dogs got out yesterday and it took me 30 very scary minutes to find them. Drama ensued when STBX got involved bc it's his number on their tags. Need to buy new tags asap.
Spent the weekend drinking with my besties from high school and talking shit about my divorce, it was amazing. But it also made me miss the asshole. How can I both love and hate him so much?!

Haha! It was awful. Part of the reason I shot him down was because I had sex with FWB the night before! And AB was teasing me because previously we were talking about sex and I mentioned that I had a high sex drive. So he makes some comment about how I "missed sex" and I was all and in my head I was thinking "well.....I just had it 24 hours ago"

This is actually a current issue on whether or not it is a medical issue. My state does NOT provide them, they state that GID can be "cured" through medication and there is research on whether the only way to "cure" it is sexual reassignment surgery. Whether or not it is cruel and unusual punishment to deny a prisoner the only real treatment available. I am working with a prisoner on this currently.

... WTF to being able to have a sex change on the State's dime?![/quote][/i]
I don't actually have a problem with gender reassignment surgery on the state's dime for prisoners, since it's an actual medical condition for which the surgery is the normal medical treatment.
I really don't think the state needs to pay for laser hair removal, but feeling this way makes me feel kind of petty and callous. (Massachusetts is going through this right now with one prisoner (at least ... there may be others that are not in the news).
I just think that it's an unfair situation for people in the real world because if GID is considered a medical condition (which I don't disagree with), why don't people in the community have access to the same services at the same cost as an inmate, kwim?? Oh and should I mention the co-pay for medical services for an inmate is $7.50.
