Anyone else hoping to spend some quality time with your book(s) this Memorial Day Weekend?
It's supposed to be windy, and my allergies have been awful lately, so I'll likely be inside, but I really want to spend some quality time with 11/22/63.
Who else will be spending the long weekend reading?!?!

It's not a long weekend in Australia, so I have no holiday plans. And since I planned to see MIB3 on opening day (it was great fun!) and am catching up and "bitch-tweeting" Eurovision with DH in the evenings, it may not be a great reading weekend for me.
I'm hoping to make more headway into We Need to Talk About Kevin. So far it's dragging for me because I hate the writing style, I hate the dad, and the mom isn't exactly a sympathetic character either, and thus far Kevin is still a baby.
I normally read 2+ books at a time, but I'm kind of resisting starting anything else because I know it will make me continue avoiding WNTAK.
I don't get a long weekend I get Thursday and Friday off (which I do plan to use in part for reading) but on the plus side, I am suppose to get a third day off for the holiday but since we are short handed they ask me to work it. I get paid for 8 hours of overtime while only working 40 hours!
I am attempting to finish The Fifth Witness (the fourth Lincoln Lawyer book). My library didn't have a kindle version, so I have a real book. I want to get it finished before we go on vacation so I can star a few books I have on my Kindle and can just take that with us. (especially since I hate reading more than one book at a time!)
I should be. But instead I decided nesting would be a better idea so have been cleaning like crazy all day. I need to find a book to read though. I don't have any lined up.
I've gotten a lot of reading done. I wasn't sure I would because of working on the house, but darnit, if I'm going to use two vacation days to bookend my long weekend, I'm going to read, too!
I read Deadlocked, finished a couple of audiobooks (working on the house is good for those, anyway), and am about a third of the way through Into Thin Air. It feels good to be "lazy" and read after weeks of staining and painting and whatnot.
