And yes. Everyone is pregnant except for me. Or so it feels like!
I have not called my doctor yet because I want to change my OB. I really don't know how to start the email with a new doc. Do I tell her hey I have PCOS and I have not started. Or do I just say I have not started and let her redo everything? I dont know. I am sure she is going to want me to come in again and get another check up done with her but I just dont have time to do it right this second. I don't know. Maybe I am talking outta my ass cause I feel like she is going to tell me the same thing the other one did.
I agree...seems like everyone is pregnant! I wish them well....but dang I want my turn too! ;(
Same here!!! I feel like such a bitch because my DH's SIL is pregnant with her second one and it is like they arent even trying its just BOOM here is a baby. Ok she is 2 BOOM here is another one. I am like all smiles and yay congrats and then inside I am like why not me?
I feel you - a few months into TTC, I had a 75 day cycle.
I was at Michael's a few days ago. It was slow and there were only 10ish people in the store. Me and one elderly guy were the only two w/o babies/kids. WTF?
I know you said that you want to switch doctors. Have you done so already? If so just write out how you feel and that you have PCOS and haven't had AF in 70 days and see what she says. (obviously add that you are TTC as well) After you have this typed out reread it and make some adjustments and then send it to her/him. If you haven't found a new doc yet then you need to find one ASAP. It took me multiple (3) doctors before one would help me jump start my cycle. It was hell, I was at around 85-90 by the time it actually came, and it was helped along by meds. (I had to be helped twice to start getting somewhat of a cycle going, and they are anywhere from 33-47 day cycles after one year of this shit) I have been off BCP since May 2011 and I started getting "regular" cycles in October 2012.
It is very frustrating, and yes every woman in the world is pregnant, or has just had a baby. (other then the woman on here!)
I think that you def need to be more proactive about finding a new dr. Is there a reason you are worried/hesitant/avoiding getting a new one?? Have you had bad past experiences?
I think that even with the PCOS a dr. should be able to help you after 70 days girl. I think that when you find a new one, you should tell them you've been tested for PCOS, but you want a second opinion (even if you don't) so they will re-test and see what's going on from a fresh perspective.
If you are firm and demand what you want, they must give it to you. Keep insisting.

I have PCOS and have been given both Provera or Prometrium (not at the same time) many times to start AF. It's always worked for me although it's frustrating because you have to take it for 10 days and then it usually takes about a week for AF to finally start.
It took me a while to find an ob/gyn that worked for me. It took a RE for me to get pregnant, but it's been a lot better dealing with an ob/gyn who is also knowledgeable about PCOS and treatments.
I would also start charting if you are not already. My doctor wanted to start testing right away after I went 3 months without ovulating which made the process a lot faster than waiting for the 1 year mark like a regular couple at our age.

Don't start with an email, start with an office visit. It sounds like you're really busy and I totally relate to that, but you need to make time here. FWIW, no credible doctor will start a doctor/patient relationship with you via email. S/he's going to want to see you before s/he starts giving out medical advice.

Yeah, I don't understand why you are nervous to contact a new doctor. If you are anxious to ttc, haven't had your period for this long, then do something about it. You do know when you have a child you're going to have to be contacting a doctor/pediatrician quite often. Also, where do you live that its standard to email your doctors?
Listen, just call the new place you want to go to. And you say, "I'm ready to try and conceive, but I haven't had a period in 70 days with negative pregnancy tests. I'd like to make a appointment to see what can you do for me." Or email them this, if that is what you do.
Sorry if I'm coming off snarky. I just don't understand how you can complain about this while you twiddle your thumbs and aren't proactive at all. We are all very TakeChargeOfOurBodies around here. I'd love to see you get KU, so take charge! Do something!

Let me start by saying thank you for all the comments. I know that you all do not mean to come off snarky. They whole email thing is what my provider does. I live in Northern Virginia and we have a medical insurance called Kaiser. I am not changing buildings, I just want to have a different doctor within the facility. I hope that makes sense.
They have a new thing where they actually want you to email them so that you do not waste money on a co pay. If you email them they either answer it or tell you that they want to see you.
I tried to switch doctors online last night and it was not working :/
Yep. My provider has an email portal too, but if it wasn't working, I would be calling. It's a nice feature when it works, but technology is too imperfect to be relied on for something this important. Call and tell them that their system isn't working, and you have already put off getting in touch with them so long that you don't want to wait for their technical issues to be resolved -- you need to see a dr, and you'd like to see a different one than you have seen previously, and when is the earliest they can get you in? 5 minute phonecall.

I have Kaiser too. It's true they want you to email. They are very big about that. But if you don't have a good rapport with your doc, you do need to call to call the facility. Call member services even. When I was changing my primary, I couldn't just do it via the internet. You have to actually call them, and put in a "request" to switch, and sometimes there is a waiting list for the doc you want.
The request is a formality, but at least out here, that's what I had to do to get things moving. It still took them a while to show that I had changed doctors in their records, even though I had been seeing my new doc for ages at that point.

the email is working... just not the change a doctor portal. Member services are not open when I get off of work and I dont get a break today. I will try to do it via email again.
Oh come on! Seriously, everyone here is being nice and supportive but you are just coming up with an excuse at every.single.step!
why don't you get in touch with your current doctor and get an appointment to at least get started with finding out what your options are w/r/t getting your cycle on track and then talk about finding an OB with your current doc at that appointment?
Just because you do your first appointment with your current doctor about TTC doesn't mean you *must* stay with them forever, but at least you will get everything started!
I am not trying to come up with excuses. I emailed my current doctor and told her I stopped takin BC and had my last period Oct 1. I then asked her if she could prescribe something so that we can jump start my AF. I am waiting to hear back.
I was hesitant because when I went in to tell her I wanted to TTC she told me that I Was young enough to wait and was not supportive in my decision to have a baby at all.
What doctor does this? I am 25 years old and my DH is 30. Would you think she would just help instead of putting her 2 cents in.
