I got these super cute holders from Pier One this year that were very affordable ($10). I added ribbon to the top. If proboards would ever let me PIP I could show you!
I got one of those round ring things that open on one end (I can't think of what they're called right now). I hole punch the cards and attach them to the ring. The whole thing is then on a suction cup on my fridge! Easy access, looks good, and I don't have cards everywhere!
In recent years we've put the ribbon on the half wall cutout between the kitchen & family room instead, so we can do double-sided. (A row facing the FR and a row facing the kitchen.)
I throw them in a tray on our coffee table. I don't do well with visual clutter...cards hanging up gives me the willies. Cute for other people, I just can't live with it. they get stacked neatly on a tray and DD looks at them a lot. After Christmas they just get tossed.

LOL. This is why mine are hooked together in one small space..lol. The clutter drives me insane.
We don't do anything very cute. We put them all on our fridge until after the holidays, then I take them down because I hate having a cluttered fridge.
I have a giant clear glass vase that I etched "cards" on for our wedding. I toss them all in there. Right now, it's on our mantle. I empty it at New Years. Cards from the entire year go in there.
