Why is Mexican vanilla supposed to be the best? If u have ever been there, Mexican vanilla is sold in all shops including tequila shops. So why is it so much better?

I love any pure vanilla, really. MMM. On a related note, I tried to make my own vanilla extract...it was gross. Not worth the money wasted on high quality beans!

I don't know, but I love it. I got a big ass bottle of it a few years back down in Nogales and I'm going to be so sad when it is gone. I've heard that not all Mexican vanilla is good, but I have Molina brand and it is so damn good.

Team mexican vanilla here. We use the dark La Vencedora brand and it is the bomb. I bought like 6 of the big bottles right before we moved away from the border and I still have 2 left. I'm sort of panicking about what to do after we run out.
FWIW, I looked up the ingredients in Nielsen-Massey versus my mexican bottle and the only difference is that the mexican bottle has corn syrup instead of sugar and adds caramel color.
