Enough with the gray already! I know not every single room in the house is gray, but it was entirely predictable that they would paint that room gray as well.
I really, emphatically don't like the ceiling being that shade of gray too. I could maybe see going with a lighter tint of the same color, but the windows don't save it from feeling cave-like to me.
Where is the original thought in this house? The experimentation? I just know that the kitchen will soon get repainted a shade of gray as well.
And for the love of all things good, can they possibly--just once--talk about paint and NOT use the word (or a version of it) "moody"!
They experimented the hell out of this house to start with, don't you think they toned it down because they took so much flack for their previous experiments? It doesn't get to be both ways. At this point I don't think they can "win" either way.
I like the gray on the walls, but I think they should've left the brick alone, or picked a color that tied the brick better if it bothered them. Brick to me has so much character alone and that's lost in the paint to me.
Whatever, I give them points for at least being a half decent, normal looking project.
I can't fault them for going with that color. It's just a cooler neutral than the mostly warm neutrals in their first house. I think they've realized they do better with neutrals than bold wall colors.

I think they toned it down because they realized that they don't do color well and/or have a hard time living with colorful walls (althpough I think that is more John than Sherry).
I actually like it....including the ceiling and the brick. I might have chosen another shade on the card to add some interest. I didn't think that particular brick is all that special to keep it red, (I think it will blend better from the rest of the house to the sunroom if it is painted), and I think the ceiling is high enough to handle the color. jmo

Why do you guys keep mentioning paint on the brick? Did I miss an update? When I read their post earlier, they hadn't yet decided what to do with the brick, although it sounded like they were leaning toward painting it.
I actually really like the gray they used in the sunroom, but I would have preferred that they left the ceiling white. I don't think it's horrible with the ceiling painted though.
I quite like the paint (and the fact that it continued onto the ceiling), the room would have great potential if it didn't look like Clara picked out the furniture. I hope that they ask Dana from housetweaking to make them an inspiration board for this particular room.
I think it looks great. I don't really know what the rest of their rooms look like. They said it's the same color as their bedroom, but for a visitor to their home that wouldn't be too repetitive.
I don't think I like the idea of a bistro table in the corner with the stools that they are talking about.
