When wearing a dress and pantyhose

Do you wear underwear along with the pantyhose, or just the pantyhose?

This actually came up in choir practice Friday. A lot of girls were discussing what we will be wearing for our Saturday performance. Some how it came up that since some girls are wearing pantyhose, and they have the pantyhose liner, that they aren't going to wear underwear too. They said that pantyhose is already panties with hose attached.

What is your take?

I wear underwear with leggings, but i don't wear pantyhose... so I can't contribute my vote. I think underwear is a wardrobe staple though... I wear underwear 100% of the time I'm not showering, having sex, or in a swim suit.

I don't wear them either. I just err on the side of wear underwear. I didn't realize going commando was a thing.

Question for those that wear pantyhose and no underwear. What do you do if you get a run in your hose? Do you cut the hose part off and keep the rest of it on as underwear?

I always wear underwear, but this question made me lol. That would the most uncomfortable underwear! eek

I would take it off and go commando. Although, if I'm wearing hose it's for a reason, such as an interview so I would probably run out/home and grab a new pair if I could.

I always wear underwear and a short or long slip. Generally, if you're wearing pantyhose, it means you're wearing a skirt/dress, and wearing a skirt means it can blow up in a breeze, you can trip or step on your hem and show off your lowers, sometimes how you stand on the risers could give a view.

OMG, I didn't even think about the risers also. Our risers are pretty high up there too. I'm so glad I just wore black pants. The girls that were pantyhose sans underwear were wearing knee length dresses with black pantyhose.

and evee - if you get a run in your hose, you put on a new pair. you don't just take them off and go bare legged. if it was kosher to be bare legged that day (ie: summer or whatever), one wouldn't be wearing tights/hose anyway.

I'm under the assumption that you don't carry an extra pair with you.

Normally I wear underwear with pantyhose and tights, and leggings and yoga pants.
But if I'm wearing spanx with them I don't.

SOMETIMES, like totally rarely, if I'm wearing the clingiest thing ever I wear pantyhose without underwear. Like if you could see a thong line or something.

I usually DONT wear underwear with yoga pants if I'm actually doing yoga in them.

Usually I wear pantyhose or spanx so I don't have a visual panty or thong line.

they sell them in stores. you know this, right? last time i got a big run, i left work for a few minutes and got a new pair.

If I get a run, I wear hose that have a run in them for the rest of the day.

This lurker goes without undies at every opportunity. On vacation, I make it my goal to not wear any at all (I think jeans are the only MUST WEAR UNDERWEAR apparel and I stick with thongs). So with hose, definitely not. I like a nice breeze!
