You already know this if you've read any of my other recent vents.
He finished our floors a couple of weeks ago and was supposed to drop off the shoe molding a few days later (stained to match the floors. MH has been installing the the baseboards, so the shoe had to wait for that anyway). 1 week went by...no molding. So I called and emailed and texted and finally heard back from him. He promised delivery of the molding by this past saturday morning. I was running errands all day, and when i got home...yeah, no molding.
So I called him. No answer. Texted. No answer.
Called again this morning - and he answers and it turns out that he hurt himself somehow over the weekend and is out of commission.
He said that he could get us the molding in 2 weeks or so (which I'm guessing means 4 in his world) or he could just refund us the money for the value of the molding. (because I'm an idiot who paid him in full even though he wasn't 100% done)
So we're going to take the refund. The WWYD - I've got an email and an angie's list review all written out blasting his ass for complete lack of communication and timeliness. Should I wait till after he sends the refund check? I should, right? Biting my tongue is KILLING ME though. I really want to hand him a piece of my mind.
