After a long and tiring day, I made a quick run to Target for a few grocery and household items because I didn't have the energy to do a full trip to the grocery store. As I was waiting for a magical parking spot that was about to open up directly in front of the store, some woman swooped right in front of me (she came in from my left; the spot was kind of at the intersection of two perpendicular lanes in the lot) to take the spot. I honked at her to indicate that I had been there waiting, and she only edged closer to the car backing out so that she could guarantee herself the spot.
I was so mad that I ripped some blank paper off my shopping list and left a note that said "I hope you feel great about stealing a parking spot from a pregnant woman with a cranky 2-year-old. Merry F---ing Christmas!" under her windshield wiper. It felt great.
I am not normally so road ragey but this was just too much. I hate how people turn into bigger and bigger assholes the closer we get to Christmas.
H says you should carved it in the paint with your keys.
I was tempted.
Luckily DD thought the whole incident was hilarious. She was in her carseat yelling "Mommy beeped the horn! Mommy beeped! That was FUNNY!" the whole time.
Love it. Someone "stole" a spot from me at Target. When she saw me get out with my 4 yo, 20 month old, and 39 wk belly she tried to apologize. I told her off in front of her teenage daughter. I don't really remember anything except the words "dick move" and her daughter open mouthed.
Thumbs up! People like that should be called out on their db moves. That happened to us one time at the mall. The guy got out of the car and we were like hey you stole our spot! His excuse was that someone had just done the same thing to him and then he grabbed his cell phone and threatened to call the cops on us! Lol

That's awful. She's bold to have left her car there after pissing someone off like that. The last time I saw someone steal a parking spot, it ended with an almost-physical altercation and someone getting spit on.
I always park in back so I can avoid these types of situations. I am not going to fight for parking spots. Life is too short. But I always shop alone so I don't have to worry about dragging DS into a store with me.

I try to park in back, but when a parking spot opens up in front of a store at the end of a long day and I am the only one waiting for it I am going to be angry when someone swoops in front of me to take it.
I would love to have the luxury of shopping alone. It must be very nice. 8-D
