I plan to be there today. Only reason I might not make it is because I have someone interested in buying my breast pump and I'm not sure when they are available to meet today. However it's always possible they will flake out which would suck, but I know it's very likely. So hopefully I will be there this afternoon!
Omg, ha! Maybe we will skip it after all. Went to bed at 2, Hs alarm at 5. I'm thinking casual day at the Y to get the old blood flowing. Next week I don't have to work Tuesday night. I'm there:)

I went to it this morning. It didn't have a theme as far as I saw. She read 2 baby books and sang a bunch of songs like Wheels on the Bus and the 5 Little Monkeys song with finger puppets. She did bubbles at the beginning and end. It was cute, not as great as the weeplay class I go to on Mondays but short and sweet. One thing I didn't like as much was that there was more of a range of ages with the children.. several of them were walking around and grabbing the little mats and stuff. B doesn't even crawl yet so I was kind of feeling like I needed to block him from these older babies, lol.

Hmm. Amelia is definitely one of those kids. Maybe the library groups aren't the best place for her because the worst thing you can do to her is hold her back. She might be ok if I forced her to stay on my lap for 20 minutes if we are singing and bouncing but she is going to want to pick up whatever stuff is there and bright and fun and try and eat it.
Sara - the classes are for 0-18 months so Amelia definitely fits in! The first time I went to the Wednesday class there were both young and old babies. Some were all over the place (picking up the books in the middle, picking up the mats, walking up to the lady reading the story, etc) and some just sat in laps. I don't think there is any problem with her being all over the place and it's expected given the age range of the class. I had one of the youngest babies there. I hope you decide to keep going when you are available. It's nice to be able to meet up with others and not have to venture too far from home.

I agree. Hey - Monkey See! Monkey Do! Maybe that will make Sammy crawl/walk earlier. Who knows.
Ok cool beans. I'll just continue to work on teaching her to play nice with other babies. But as for the books I can't promise anything. They're doomed. I'll never tell her she can't touch a book if she wants to.
