DS was diagnosed with pneumonia yesterday, after having super high temps for three days straight. Poor kid:( I feel so badly for him, and he is absolutely refusing his meds(he usually takes it with no issues). The x-ray techs told us that our little guy is so super strong, after failing to get a scan of his sinuses. I wanted to say, DUH! I hate holding him down in order to give him his medicines:( Bleh.
My 3 year old has pneumonia too. He hates the medicine so I tell him if he doesn't take it we will have to go to the hospital (which IS what the pedi said). Then he takes it.
No albuterol this time(we've used it for RSV and wheezing before). Last night sucked--None of us slept, because he was coughing so much. I called the pedi, and she that this is par for the course.
I was born with pneumonia(long story), and had it two other times before I turned 10 months. If a preemie can survive it, I am sure we can survive it! I am just not used to running on such little sleep. Thankfully, he is taking his meds fine now!
